in canon she's an archeologist and "sirentologist". in jfv she's an archeologist and a "parapsychologist" (think scientist of the supernatural, in the vein of stanford pines), which actually was sort of part of her job description at dahl but not really. she also has phaseshift which she uses to get free snacks from vending machines (angel, who is still alive, doesn't know how to feel about that).

some design notes. the grey thing is a hairnet (she grew her hair out quite a bit and needs smth to keep it in), proper lab coat because in this house we love mad scientists especially female mad scientists, and the extra lenses on her goggles are a reference to the three types of cones in the human eye (red, green, blue)

I actually kind of liked New Tales. I deeply enjoyed the lore and universe expansion it brought to the series, and some of the characters were really cool (I love L0u13 sm). There were some cringe moments - notably that one joke in episode 4 which I will not talk about because it makes me uncomfortable - but like, it's Borderlands, there will always be "cringe" in it, and that's it.

I like Ava, she is written realistically, and I wish everyone who wants her dead a very die. That being said, I think her arc could have been handled better - then again, you could say that about quite a bit of BL3's cast.

Jack stans are awful and we all know that, but I'd argue a lot of Rhys fans are also insufferable (not all of them, but most), especially those that think he's an uwu baby who can do no wrong

i dont really watch movies much bc they take a lot of time to process. lots of stimuli and stuff

however in terms of book recs, i can recommend the entirety of the discworld series <3
