more ruckus was heard from the hallway.... with a moment of silence before the door was broke down and the gun being fired in the air, causing robbie to scurry out the door.

44. “You’re just saying that because you’re jealous of my hair.”
Honestly Ted didn’t even know what this older Felix-lookalike was talking about. Maybe it was grown-up stuff, and that was why a kid like him didn’t get it. Or Ted was just ‘dumb’ like he’d been called before. So maybe the fact that Ted just said “ You’re just saying that because you’re jealous of my hair. ” was a response that made just as much sense to him, and therefore that meant it made perfect sense to say it.
Ted didn’t even know what that meant either. It wasn’t like his hair was the best; it wasn’t quite as straight and neat as his twin’s, and kinda wavy and messy in some places ( though that was pretty average for a boy his age. ) But also this guy’s hair looked like he just came straight out of a wind tunnel or something, so maaaaaybe Ted thought it was kinda justified reasoning in a way. Maybe it was cause this guy still reminded him of Felix, who cared a lot about his own hair-- And this guy looked like the type who also cared about that sort of stuff independent of that factor too.
There wasn’t any ill will in his tone, however. He was just being kind of playful, a bit of pretend sass-- being a kid, before letting out a small, albeit nervous, laugh. “ --Joking. By the way, I’m joking. Sorry, I’m not really all that funny, I guess.... ” He added softly.
The nervousness was mostly just ‘cause he didn’t want this stranger to be mad at him or something. He kinda hated how he just blurted out stuff without thinking sometimes; it usually made for very awkward encounters. Probably yet another reason his brother always wanted him to shut up. Ted decided it’d be better if he just went quiet now, his playful demeanor slinking back into timidness.
Mama heard the peep peeps :D
