This lil guy is an Ozobot - the coloured squares make up a code they can read. This particular pattern is telling them to reverse! So they're kinda stuck.

long night of staring at flashing colors has led to an almost complete understanding of the protocol. there's some mysterious bits (like why every jump has two opcodes behind it that we don't know yet) but it's enough to start probing the more complicated parts of the protocol!
