Due to recent events, with the phases show and Shane Morris’ periscopes it looks as if Ryan may struggling with addiction. What Ryan really needs is support. He does not need people saying that his addiction is due to him and Brendon no longer being friends, because it’s disrespectful and it invalidates him. What he also doesn’t need is people sharing videos and photos of him, and especially tagging him in them, or sending him hate.

Ryan also does not need people making a mockery out of him, or blaming him for his addiction. Addiction can be hereditary, which in that case he inherited it from his alcoholic father. Ryan was also thrust into the world of fame at just 18 - when he was already suffering from anxiety.

I know that Shane is hardly a person to trust, but in his recent periscope he was literally on the verge of tears, and it seems like he is genuinely telling the truth when he’s saying that he’s going to try as hard as he can to help Ryan. Shane has also asked if people don’t spread photos/videos of Ryan from last night.

Whether you believe that Ryan’s struggling with addiction or not, he needs support.
