Daphne frowned at Jed's words and shook her head while walking along side him. “When you understand, that what you're telling is just a story. It isn't happening anymore. When you realize the story you're telling is just words, when you can just crumble up and throw your past in the trashcan, then we'll figure out who you're going to be.” She spoke the quote with quiet indignation. Glancing over at the boy, Daphne allowed him a small smile, "The future is ours to alter, so don't get stuck on your boring old past, sweets." She nudged him playfully in the side as her eyes traveled from his face to the sky.
It was a gorgeous morning. The sun shone through the sky proudly illuminating everything in sight. Daphne sighed and shoved her hands into her jean pockets, murmuring a Frank Sinatra song under her breath.
