Finally watched the P10L finale and I have some thoughts:
1. FaifaWine finish the series off with a flourish, I genuinely love them your honor. Gorgeous blend of sincerity, comedy, cringe and depth. They actually made me want to be in a relationship yet again, so congratulations i guess, i am on the fucking apps again.
Junior is so fucking funny and Mark does subtle comedy SO WELL. And they both react to each other, instead of just acting during their own lines. I really liked that scene of Wine praying before bed, it something I know so many people to do but I rarely see it represented out of Christian contexts, and idk it just made me go!! Also adore how FaifaWine were private, not secret until the very end. They are so secure in their relationship. Flawlessly done. I am already so very sat for My Romance Scammer.
2. I did not care much for the ArcArm storyline but ForceBook have such a wonderful and comfortable friendship and sometimes it just shows itself and I live for those moments. Such casual intimacy and love, I truly believed in ArcArm as a couple living and growing together. Force's laughs at Book's antics are so! That one reference to Peaceful Property got me and I desperately want for them to get a show that allows them that level of creative expression. They are taking their time with Melody of Secrets and I am happy about that. Rooting for them!!
3. Individually, I do see how Perth and Santa work with as actors and with each other. But brother, the way I have lost my patience with Yotha and Gun is something else. I know its a storyline problem but to me these two had the least amount of actual growth. However☝️the bickering between Gun and Faifa was top tier and the intergroup dynamics between Gun and Faifa and Yotha were so well done. I will say it is a credit to Perth and Santa for embodying their characters so welk though - a character sketch for Yotha or Gun would be textbook. Really good actors, really shitty characters.
4. KLAOWA ENGAGEMENT WAS PERFECT. Actually my favest couple of the whole show with a real arc and growth to them. You can see them change as time goes on and none of it feels forced. Its so organic. Of course this is the next step, of course this is how they will do it. You are just happy to see them happy and still feral for each other. AuoBoom have me so hyped, and are the only reason I will be tuning into Only Friends 2.
3. Don't have much to say about MarcPoon, nobody come for me but I don't care for that pair. Poon is fun to watch though, hella expressive. STGD is making laugh a lot and a lot of it is Poon!
4. PO! MY BELOVED PO! Nothing to say except I would date his melodramatic ass in a second. I can match his energy so hard 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
5. Very on brand for a group of queers standing in a circle and playing Passing the Parcel and actually passing around turns to kiss their partners. And getting excited for each other's kisses. And chanting "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Funniest scene, I was grinning so much!
I’m not thinking of writing a ArcGun fic where Gun has a dream about getting railed like an animal in heat by his boyfriend’s mentor’s older boyfriend.
