I was listening to old cartoon intros and it reminded me of my old headcanon that yu narukami watched postman pat as a kid and rewatches it with nanako.

Do I know why and how would a japanese kid watch a british stop motion show? No, but does it really matter when it's the comfort show postman pat.

i just had the really funny thought of Teddie like. Showing up to work at Junes, and like.

imagine the employee gossip.

"yeah i caught him stealing topsicles this morning. When i asked Yosule where his dad was so i could report the kid, the prince of junes just sighed"

"teddie, i know ww both know dad is literally not going to kick you out for literally anything but pleaae stop eating topsicles straight out the stock, the poor inventory people are losing hairs trying to match the numbers, if you really want food I'll buy you something just please try to at leaat eat the topaicles in the breakroom-"

☾ - sleep headcanon

At first they sleep in separate rooms but one night Naoto has a nightmare and Kanji comforts her and they end up falling asleep together. Naoto decides she liked that a lot so she asks if they can just start doing that every night and they’re both really nervous at first but eventually they’re cuddling and falling asleep in each other’s arms all the time. Naoto isn’t really a heavy or light sleeper just somewhere in between but if she has a nightmare it takes a lot to wake her up. She also constantly steals the blankets. Kanji’s a very heavy sleeper but sometimes if Naoto has a nightmare she kicks him and that’s usually enough to get him up.

★ - sad headcanon

Well I have lots of sad headcanons but I’ll only do one for this thing so you’re not here all day. Naoto is scared of driving because of how her parents died (also I headcanon that the accident was during a storm) but because of her pride she doesn’t tell anyone about it so one day she and Kanji go on a road trip and she insists on driving but it ends up raining and and when lightning strikes Naoto has a panic attack and almost crashes the car. Kanji manages to calm her down and she finally tells him and he feels terrible for not knowning and letting her drive under those conditions. But Naoto insists that it wasn’t his fault and admits that she should’ve said something sooner.I wrote this last night but now I realize it meant headcanon for when the characters are sad so I’ll do that too.When Naoto’s sad she usually hides it because she sees it as being weak. She doesn’t cry very often either for the same reason so when she does Kanji knows something’s really wrong. He also tells her to be more open about her feelings so he can help her if he needs to. Kanji’s a bit more open if only because he has a hard time hiding his feelings. Whenever he is sad Naoto doesn’t really know what do so she just kinda hugs him.

Whenever Kanji’s happy he’s pretty loud about it like if something exciting happens Naoto doesn’t even have to ask he’ll just kinda blurt it out. Naoto’s way more quiet but Kanji can usually tell when she’s happy because she starts blushing and smiling like a dork.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

When Naoto’s angry (at Kanji) she makes sure he knows usually if it’s because he was protecting her too much or did something reckless. Kanji of course gets pissed when Naoto puts herself into danger and he knows sometimes she has to as part of her job but he still worries about her a lot and gets angry if she does something reckless.

■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Naoto’s room has a bunch of nerdy posters like featherman and detectivey stuff and she doesn’t usually make her bed because she either sleeps in and doesn’t feel like it or doesn’t have enough time. Kanji’s room is filled with sewing/crocheting/knitting supplies.

♡ - romantic headcanon

Naoto doesn’t really know how to be romantic (also i headcanon her as demiromantic but that’s a story for another day). Kanji tries to be romantic sometimes but he’s so clumsy that he usually screws it up which makes Naoto laugh but it’s like a really small cute laugh, you know the one. 

♥ - family headcanon

Kanji’s mother is super supportive of their relationship she adores Naoto and thinks she’s a good influence on Kanji. Meanwhile Naoto’s grandfather isn’t really sure about Kanji at first but eventually warms up to him when he hears Naoto talk about him and sees how happy he makes her.

☮ - friendship headcanon

Naoto of course has a hard time making friends because she has social anxiety. She doesn’t hang out with anyone besides the investigation team and doesn’t really try talking with other people. Kanji’s pretty much the same although he’s friends with a lot of kids because of the sewing class he teaches to the elementary school kids.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

Naoto likes making little trinkets (like that thing she made for Yu in the christmas eve event only she makes it for Kanji instead). She also sometimes makes models (like the ones you can make in game for one of the Fox’s requests). Kanji of course loves sewing and all that stuff and he makes dolls of all the featherman characters for Naoto.

☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon

This is pretty generic so I’ll narrow it down to what they like to watch. Naoto likes featherman and detective shows/movies and dislikes reality shows because they’re “unrealistic” (says the person who watches featherman). Kanji likes movies about cute animals and also watches featherman but he doesn’t really dislike anything and mostly doesn’t care.

▼ - childhood headcanon

Naoto played with action figures sometimes and read detective novels and she had a treehouse that she used to hang out by herself in while reading or making little toys. Kanji still loved sewing and made lots of dolls and was super excited about it until he was bullied for it and started making himself seem punk. He also used to hang out with Naoki and Yukiko until they grew apart.

Kanji and Naoto grow old together very happy no sads allowed.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon

Naoto is ok at cooking but she’s still learning and has to use cookbooks all the time and even then she messes up a lot. Kanji on the other hand is a natural.Also one time Naoto wanted to make breakfast for Kanji as a surprise so she prepared everything the night before and in the morning tried making it but it went horribly and Kanji woke up smelling burnt food and rushed to the kitchen to find Naoto on the floor crying. He managed to calm her down and helped her make breakfast.

Naoto is a nerd and wears featherman pajamas and Kanji says she’s cute and Naoto blushes and hides her face which of course makes her even more cute rip Naoto.

Yukiko is into really hardcore anime, and is extremely passionate about it. She refuses to watch anything mainstream. Chie comes back to the apartment and is like "oh hey I heard about this really cool show, Attack On-" and Yukiko just SLAPS the remote out of her hand, "TOO BAD IT'S NOT BULLSHIT BABY WATCH NIGHT!!"
