Episode #304 - P47 Thunderbolt - ZX Spectrum Review
Welcome watchers of illusion, to my castle of confusion! I am looking at P47 Thunderbolt on the Speccy today, an arcade conversion of a game I really enjoyed on the Arcade. This is a pretty good effort to be honest, let down by a crappy sound set. Nice intro music sets the scene, but there's nothing in game apart from 48k sound effects.
Game play is tight, and the controls are very responsive which make it a joy to play. Collision detection is amazing too, which is rare for a spectrum game. All in all, I recommend this one as a brilliant shooter! - Apparently the end boss takes quite a hammering before it dies by the way - arcade version coming soon!
