A while back I started coming up with P5/DCMK crossovers and I'm still on my bullshit so

Shinichi, maybe some of the others, talking about the Black Organisation. The subject of Gin and the others comes up.

Akechi politely interrupts with "if I know anything about being a man's personal assassin who is unfailingly loyal to him - and trust me, I do - then there is something that his boss is keeping from him that will break that loyalty."

Shinichi "You really think someone like him would ever work with us?!"

Akechi "With us? Oh, absolutely not. People like him have their own agenda. Besides. You want his boss arrested, yes?"

"Well, of course-"

"If I were this Gin, and something broke that loyalty... I wouldn't care about doing it neatly, or working with anyone. I'd want him dead."

Meanwhile, Hakuba is sat with Akira, listening from a distance.

"Is he... always like this?"

"Akechi? Yeah. That's pretty much his normal." Akira, Hakuba's thinking, looks far too fond of- well. Talk of murder. It's one thing if it's a mystery, but another when someone's been on the other side of it. "This is actually an improvement."

I saw your post on a Persona 5 AU for DCMK and how you couldn't think of a Persona name for Shinichi (I don't know how long ago this post was from, so sorry if this comes out of nowhere). I was thinking possibly Anubis. Anubis is possibly the oldest Shinigami-like archetype, the judge of the Egyptian Afterlife and guide of the dead who enacts justice and truth via the Weighting of the Heart. Anubis is associated with canines, who would be the first to find shallow graves the desert.

Anubis would hold his courts via negative confession, in which the soul on trial would ritualistically deny committing any and all the possible crimes that would negatively affect Ma'at - truth and order. If the soul lied (and Anubis would know, Anubis always knew, because Anubis possessed the Scales of Ma'at from which our modern symbol of law and justice is descended) then the scales would become unbalanced and Soul’s heart - emotional center of the soul, deemed wicked - would be fed to Ammit.

it’s been a while so I may not exactly remember which AU you’re referring to (because I vaguely remember having more than one AU where Shinichi ends up with a Persona lajshdkjasd) but yes, Anubis seems like a fitting choice. so fitting, he’s even associated with canines :’D

Okay, so, I love P5 fics where Akechi is a proper detective rival with the PT with every fiber of my being but honestly I’d die for a fic where Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan is that detective rival

For the ask thing: a fic where Kaito suddenly wakes up one day to fine himself in Akira's body. While Akira wakes up in Kaito's. *innocent smile*

There are somany things that could be done with such a crossover idea, including the PTfreaking out over the possibility of the interrogation Akira went throughleaving him amnesiac, and the KID Capture Brigade investigating where the realKaito disappeared into with a confused Akira tagging along. But how about apossible intro for such an AU?

more on the idea of deaged detectives, P5/Detective Conan crossover where Shido becomes in cahoots with the BO and gets his hands on APTX 4869 and starts to use it to eliminate the people in his way.

16 year old Akechi is one of the victims except he survives and gets deaged instead.
