First impressions || Kitty & Xavier {Flashback}
Her hands were shaking, hell her whole body was as she watched her parents bringing out her bags.
"Do I have to stay here?" she asked, her voice light, worried. She could tell her father was rushing, the way her refused to look in her eyes, the way her bags were dropped in front, against the cobblestones as if being tossed away with the rest of her.
"It's going to be the best for you sweetie." her mother said, the words as forced as ever, she was young but she wasn't an idiot. "He's highly qualified...a professor in fact, much more than any of your old teachers." her voice rang too sweet, like layers and layers of icing to hide the cake that had been overcooked and charred.
"I don't care-I want to stay back at home-with you." her voice was almost begging as she went in for a hug. Her mother half heartedly wrapped her arms around before her father cleared his throat, nodding back to the car.
"You don't want to be late KitKat, run along now and we'll write to you as soon as we can-" He said making his way around and back into his driver seat, her mother followed, giving one guilty look before putting her seat belt back into position.
"Can't you call-" she started to say, reaching her hand out towards them, interrupted by the harsh sound of the rental cars engine roaring to life and feeling the pebble stones hitting her legs as they drove away. Little did she know that despite the nervous knot in her stomach, besides the feeling in the air of everything she knew changing, that that would be the last time she saw them face to face.
She looked around, picking up her bags lightly as she stumbled into the large castle looking building. "Hello?" she called out lightly, peering around each corner as she tried to hold back her tears, it was a losing battle. "Anyone here?"
