2025 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 4 (Two-for-Tuesday)

Those who've done this before, both in November and April, know that Rober Lee Brewer usually posts a "two-fer" prompt on Tuesdays... ... and this November's is no exception...

In short, you can:

Pick one of the two prompts to write your poem;

Write a separate poem for each prompt;

Or combine the prompts to create your own "Frankenpoem"

Your poem(s), your choice(s)

That said, today's two-fer is:

Write a past poem, and/or...

Write a future poem.

...and remember:

These prompts are springboards to creativity.

Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

2023 APRIL POEM-A-DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 20

Write a poem every day of April with the Poetic Asides 2023 April Poem-A-Day Challenge. 

Today's prompt: write an animal poem.

If you want, make the title of your poem an animal and write your poem. 

Or perhaps, you could give an animal a cameo somewhere in your poem. 

Another option is to write a persona poem from the perspective of animal. 

And I'm sure there are many other options available.

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

2023 APRIL POEM-A-DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 26

From Robert Lee Brewer's Writer's Digest blog, Poetic Asides...

Write a response poem today. 

The poem could respond to one of your poems from earlier this month (or ever). 

Or it could respond to a poem by another poet, whether it's Emily Dickinson or Ocean Vuong. 

But why limit it to poetry? 

You could also write a response poem to the news, to the person who cut you off in traffic, or, well, use your imagination. 

And then, poem.
