im really high and my boyfriend is skyping with his friend and i keep forgetting hes on skype and i think hes talking to me so i keep replying to him i can tell he thinks im awkward

How were Careers trained in District 4?

Good question!

Training was part of school. Could get away with it because we're a very physical district. Have to be able to swim, climb, survive a shipwreck, gut a fish, and defend yourself from pirates, after all. That's what they'd say. So lots of school was training. Most of everyone would go to work on boats, and needed to know how to do that before you got on deck.

There was also an after school program. Victors would help-- mostly Moira and Padrick, because Finnick was so young and Mag so old-- and they would train us more in weapons and survival. After school was optional. Wound up taking those classes because my mother was a teacher. Got to take them for free. That's where people like Finnick and I learned to really fight.
