So you want to make a pagan character...
In the current society that we are in now, most pagans are not openly pagan. Your character may be more openly pagan in pagan spaces or online but in all likelihood, your character will be in the closet about being pagan. That being said, your character may have specific symbols on their person, like a pentagram or a Mjolnir necklace.
2. Paganism is an umbrella term for a lot of specific beliefs. You may find it easier to research a particular faith like Hellenism rather than going as an umbrella pagan. That being said, if you have a character who is a witch, this may be harder as there are many kinds of witchcraft and very rarely will witches identify as the specific branch of witchcraft rather than as a witch.
3. Some religions are specifically closed religions. While quite a few White practitioners will ignore this fact, it goes to stand that if your character would care about this, then they must be within an open religion.
4. Most pagan beliefs believe in some form of spirits with Christopagans being the technical exception. This means that an active practitioner will likely care for their local spirits. This can pretty heavily range in span. For example: Some Slavic pagans consider local forests and rivers as part of the spirits that they work with and some only consider the spirits of the home as spirits that they work with.
Welcome!
This is a blog dedicated to the accurate creation of modern Pagan characters. This is not dedicated to any particular faith or proselytizing. If you make personal attacks towards me or asks about making historical pagan characters, your ask will be deleted.

OC Show and Tell
This is Caitlyn, the undertaker. She's a young adult, probably around 25 and she's been working at her hometown's cemetery since she was a teenager. She has the ability to see ghosts and talk to them. As a result, she has an entire community of spirits to talk to. She loves them very much, they are like her family. She would defend the cemetery with her life and if she caught some asshole disrespecting a grave, she'd throw hands. That said, she's like the mischievous youngest sister with the spirits. She'll just casually troll the spirits and they're like 'this bitch.'
She is a death witch, and is a proud Pagan. I haven't decided who she'd work with, but she calls her deity the Goddess.
