Christianity is such an insecure religion, like in my area, they're fucking THREATENED by other religions and paganism. Over the 2 years of living here, I've seen our local Barnes & Noble have to move the Self Transformation section so it faces the registers and move all the tarot and oracle decks behind the counter. I bought two books from this section yesterday and they had anti-theft tags in the middle of the books ON THE PAGES (that didn't come off nicely) and one of them had a "god loves you" propaganda pamphlet. Like geez. Most other religions and spiritualities leave you the fuck alone why can't you do the same?
And it's love thy neighbor, not convert thy neighbor.
A little pagan talk that is kind of funny, so I've been working with gods for some time that I've grown familiar with and they're pretty chill. I did a tarot card reading about two months ago (I think???) And a woman popped up which had me very confused because I didn't know who She was and She gave no clue about her identity. Said woman kept popping up in dreams and the energy of it was pretty strong, She was throwing hints but me being dense couldn't quite catch them. I'm guessing She got exasperated because two weeks ago I dreamt of the woman going "THIS WELL IS IMPORTANT. IT'S CONNECTED TO ME" very bluntly and insisted on the importance of it.
I almost forgot, happy Imbolc to all Pagan folk. Hopefully the weather will warm soon and we can see some of our lovely sun.
even though i worship celtic deities i don't even know if i should call myself a polytheist. i believe what we know as "the god"/the force we're dealing with in general is the Universe and it takes form of anything we're comfortable dealing with - be that one or more gods, depending solely on you.
but the reason behind this post is that my weeks of confusion and the initiall "finding myself" phase are mostly over and i found my own path within paganism. i still have a long way ahead but at least i know what i believe in.
