I like this quote a lot.
I see a lot of people telling witchcraft beginners that they should not begin deity work which is something I have a problem with. Just because you are a beginner in witchcraft does not mean you can't start looking into deities and paganism. We all start somewhere.
Now, this does not mean you should jump head first into worshipping and communicating with a deity, but you should start researching mythos and backgrounds of different belief systems and figure out what calls to you the most.
If someone tells you that you cannot look into paganism because you're a beginner in witchcraft, then they clearly do not understand that there can be a separation between the two in most instances.
If you're scared of entities imitating a deity and tricking you, then perhaps you should wait until you know how to protect yourself and learn how to vet spirits. But, I personally do not think these instances are as common as witches make them out to be.
Only you know when you are ready, so do not let someone else tell you that you need to learn more about the craft before you consider yourself a pagan because it is simply not true.

Intro Post
Hello!! My name is Josephine (it isn’t really, but yknow internet safety) and I’m very new to paganism. Very excited though!! I’ve been an atheist my whole life – specifically an ignostic atheist if you're interested lol – but the stability and comfort of religion has always appealed to me.
Recently I came across non-theistic paganism and it resonated with me so so much. (This is the idea of applying pagan principles and practices in a naturalistic way.) I look at deities as symbols / tools for introspection and a happier life!
I hope to interact with others on their paganism journey, whether that’s a polytheistic one, a pantheistic one, or a symbolic/atheistic version like mine :). And of course I am here to gain wisdom from those much more experienced than me!!
Something specific I've been looking into is the Atheopagan Society, but I am still not 100% sure if this is my path. I am very curious about eclectic witchcraft and secular tarot!
A bit about me:
- I’m from the UK
- My pronouns are she/her
- My current musical obsession is Florence + the Machine (always v happy to swap music recs and/or freak out with someone about a song that's just That Good)
- I’m a big believer in body neutrality! Your appearance does not determine your worth!!
- Bloody love the moon. Who doesn’t.
- I really like Sartrian existentialism and am looking at incorporating this genre of philosophy into my practice :)
- I have a bit of a habit of sprinkling everything I write with a generous helping of brackets and parenthetic dashes (you’re welcome and also I’m sorry)

Not sure yet! Will be reblogging posts about non-theistic paganism and paganism in general, really just anything I like :). I am currently drafting a post about the deities I venerate, and how I do this in a non-theistic way (because I know that sounds like an oxymoron lmao!)
Blessed be <3
hi! i was wondering if you have any info on arimanius? it would be amazing! thanks tons!
Hello! Sorry, I'm afraid I can't help. I'm not familiar with this deity and my knowledge on them is limited to what I've literally just read on Wikipedia.
But maybe someone who stumbles across this post has any resources and info on this deity?
