Of course she is ! Hearing about Hogwarts from her brothers and cousins is one thing, going there and see the castle with her own eyes is another. There is also a nervous excitement that is predominant; Lily has been waiting for this moment for years; Two, to be exact, in which she has seen her brothers and cousins board the train, waving her dainty hand goodbye while holding her father's hand with the other. All the while waiting her turn. And now she is going to shop for her own school supplies with them, board the train with them, attend Hogwarts with them. And Hugo, she is gently, but suddenly reminded, will be there, too ! Intertwining her hands, Lily begins bouncing on the balls of her feet, creating a sporadic, tip-tap sound; Then, a smile — so bright and wide that her eyes crinkle at the corners.
❝ You know, ❞ she tells Louis after a while, her smile dimming slightly. Her voice, however, sounds just as enthusiastic as she is feeling, and it pitches at the double u. ❝ My Hogwarts' letter is there, ❞ on the table, as emphasized with a nod of her head. Her bright gaze settles on said letter, considering it before continuing. ❝ Yet I can't believe it's real, that I am really going to Hogwarts, ❞ and there are still so many things to do, to prepare for the first of many years. Her brows furrow, and lips move soundlessly for a moment. ❝ And I'm afraid. I'm afraid of going there, ❞ she confesses, an answer to Louis' question. It's not like she is going to be alone on her first day at Hogwarts. There'll be her brothers and cousins, and she'll receive letters from home; Yet, while seeing them board the train and hearing what Hogwarts was like made it seem easy, it'll still be a new environment. There'll not only be part of her family, but also new people, new things to learn of and from. ❝ It's strange. ❞
