Yuck, truscum are awful! I kinda get the feeling that a lot of them are dealing with a great deal of internalized shame and guilt over being trans which almost makes me feel sorry for them, but not enough to excuse their constant trolling or gender policing.

I don't know why this showed up in my inbox four times, but I resonate with this statement at least 400%, so it seems appropriate. ;)

Honestly, they can feel however they want about the authenticity and validity of my gender identity as long as they keep it to themselves. I don't question their experience with their own gender, so I don't understand the fascination with questioning mine and that of people like me. Ah well. Such is life. I debated whether or not to even answer that, but I thought there was more value in other people see me respond to a bully and their assumptions about me than to let it stand. But, I'm done with that particular person.

Bothersome

I love seeing people stating that we, as a society and pushing impressionable ideas on young maggots to influence their flyhood. But what I don't like, under any circumstances is, "look at what the heteros are pushing on their young spawn." For all I know so friend could have bought that for that child. Yes, heterosexual couples are having children but so are the lovely homosexual counterparts. I'm more ashamed at the fact that we are still separating each other, instead of saying, "look at what WE are shoving at small children, look at what WE are doing as a society to influence others. And yes I'm aware that majority market plays a major factor in the fact that many high positions in companies are held by heterosexual people. I guess I'm tired of people calling people by their sexuality, rather than their name. It's like for example, saying my gay trans* friend, instead of my friend paigeabendroth and her lovely girlfriend are amazing because they've overcome a lot of odds, instead of saying my hot friend paigeabendroth and her girlfriend are so fucking cute together. (Sorry lovey, for using you as an example, love you lots you beautiful thing you paigeabendroth) but I hope you get the idea. Call people their names, not "my gay friend, my trans* friend, my strangely cool asexual friend," whatever. Off soapbox, have a nice day.

As per my girlfriend who’s brother and father are mechanics they always call a transmission a tranny for short, so while she was making a VERY SHITTY joke it might not have been at your expense.

It wasn't directly at my expense but the fact that it's commonplace to call a transmission a tranny and she made the jump to transsexual means not only is it a transmisogynist joke to make, they know it's about trans women in the end.

That's what I'm saying.

I doubt they knew I was trans.

I am so sorry. You are beautiful. Some people are trans, it's just the way it is. I'm sorry their good intentions went so far awry. You are the human you were meant to be, and being trans is a part of that. Not the whole but an important part <3

While they thought they had your best intentions at heart what they did was really fucked up and invalidating and I'm sorry. You have every right to feel like you do. Just because they tried to be nice is doesn't mean that they weren't harmful.

they told me i just wanted peoples acceptance and that my problems are normal for someone my age. then they kept going on about how my voice and my height would give me away and how i shouldn't expect to pass and how i should think it through more and know what to expect... like they went into hypothetical situations and she was like "i would look at your feet, people will know you're a guy" i tried to tell them that i've thought about all of it way more than they have but they didn't listen and i didn't know what to say so i just shut down

i'm still privileged to have accepting parents but i wish i didn't put up with their shit. i'm so bad at being who i am. i wish at least i could cry about it but instead i'm actually doubting myself and feeling like i shouldn't be doing this. especially if people will misunderstand me this much.

i feel like giving up. but i really appreciate your support. seriously it keeps me going...
