found myself missing the old iron morningstar replacement texture for the iron sword from the old Painterly Pack resource pack. Turns out the customizing website went down sometime in 2016 (the author couldn't devote time to updating it anymore and the domain lapsed). Fortunately, he kept a full reference dev kit available for other people to use and modify. The Painterly Pack was mostly creative commons license, IIRC. It took some digging but I eventually found a still-live download link for it, provided by a good samaritan on the minecraft subreddit.

I'm so glad I have my morningstar again.

Some underground Medusa Stores.

Things are going to be a bit slow in the coming weeks. We are house-hunting and my time is taken up constantly refreshing Zillow in the hopes that a Craftsman style foursquare has magically appeared in my target neighborhood at a price we can afford.

Wish me luck. I need it.

Still in the diggy-diggy hole.  I finished the Manticore Lair and a couple of the hovels.  The outside of the Chapel of Stilled Voices is done, but I haven’t done the interior because I’m not sure how much more excavation I will need to do on the main area, but I’d like the Medusae to have their own exit to the surface through their chapel.  Everything is further complicated by the fact that it’s in a section that’s right under an ocean.

I’m trying to keep as much of this town as dark as possible for the DRAMA.  I’m using slabs in a lot of places to discourage spawning, but all the hovels have torches on them and the torches light the area too much.  I’m trying redstone torches in this pic, but I don’t love it.  If I decide to keep them, I’ll need to change their texture for sure.  

Speaking of textures -- that’s soul sand in the Manticore Lair.  I chose that texture specifically so I could give it a bone-strewn floor.  Just another fabulous option from Painterly Pack.

This week, I finished the buildings and worked on some interiors.  That’s the Chapel of Stilled Voices in the second pic.  Hopefully, I’ll have Darkhold 100% done by next weekend.

So I built the Enchanters' Hollow and then decided I'd do some cleanup at Coldreign, maybe pick up some shulker shells...

Long story short, I'm still rebuilding the gear I lost.
