Technoblade never dies!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the redstoners can build but the builders can’t redstone
Redstoners will build a palace fit for gods and be like “oh it’s alright, I’m not much of a builder” and builders even LOOK at redstone and something explodes.
made a handy lil graphic for the people on my dash. maybe take a break from the internet and go drink some apply juice while you're at it
Maybe it's just because I'm old and I've been playing this game so long that i can remember when creepers were the spicy new addition -- but I can't imagine playing Minecraft without ever having seen at least one YouTube video.

Some underground Medusa Stores.
Things are going to be a bit slow in the coming weeks. We are house-hunting and my time is taken up constantly refreshing Zillow in the hopes that a Craftsman style foursquare has magically appeared in my target neighborhood at a price we can afford.
Wish me luck. I need it.

It's been a minute, but I kind of got caught up in The Magnus Archives -- which is great while I'm spending some quality time with my fishing pole, but not while I'm trying to build.
Anyway, now that I've been emotionally destroyed by a podcast, I'm back and building shrines. They're small and a little off the beaten path, but a good place to hide some cool enchantment books I think.
As always, many thanks to Rhodox and the folks who are keeping the Painterly Pack alive.
So I built the Enchanters' Hollow and then decided I'd do some cleanup at Coldreign, maybe pick up some shulker shells...
Long story short, I'm still rebuilding the gear I lost.
Textures by Rhodox of Painterly Pack fame.
So I decided it was time for another farm. I have one on the other side of the map with Thatched Cottages (Halfling creature dwellings) and have been planning to put one nearer to spawn with Hovels (Peasant creature dwellings.) The halfling farm is more diversified. This one is mainly for cows and wheat -- two things I use absurd amounts of. The cows because I need leather for books and the wheat because I need bales of hay for thatch...
... like on this Trading Post. I built four of these bad boys this week -- one at each of the four main villages I trade at. This one is right on the road from Claxton to Ceald. The Trading Posts each have an ender chest because I'm in the habit of chucking surplus sellables into my ender chest. The Trading Posts also provide a place to sleep when I get caught between towns...
... like I often do on the way to Machina because the nearest snowy biome is way the heck out there. This one's a twofer -- a Nomad Tent (produces -- wait for it -- Nomads) and an Oasis. It's placed about halfway between Machina and the next nearest building -- the lighthouse I built two weeks ago.
And, last but not least, the Treetop Tower. This one's not in a particularly strategic location. It's at not quite the halfway point between Claxton and Ceald, which is a pretty short road, but I wanted to put it in taiga, and I don't have much -- lots of mega giant tree taiga and a good-sized patch of snowy taiga -- not so much of this. Anyway, Sharpshooters are one of my favorite creatures.
And, of course, I'm using Painterly Pack and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project for my textures.
Busy week. Built a crypt.
Painterly Pack -- thanks.
Last week went more quickly than I thought it would and this week took far longer. BUT -- I marked a sea route from Claxton to Ceald and from Ceald to this point on the western continent, just about cutting the time it takes to get to Machina in half. Before, if you wanted to stick to a clearly marked route, you had to take the road almost to the most northern town, then take another road back farther south than where you started. This starts you about a third of the way down that second road, and only it only takes half the day to get there.
The map is a little big. Have I mentioned that?
Anyway, I built a nice big lighthouse here where a weary traveler can find a bed and a nice breakfast. And across the road is...
...a stables so you can get a horse to speed up the last leg of the journey. That's Cloud, Missy, and Ta. Flicka is hiding behind Ta.
Dominic the Donkey and Molly the Moo Cow are in the back stall.
And Ruth likes to hang out in the pasture. I got this shot of her literally a second before she grew up.
Once again, textures come from Painterly Pack by Rhodox and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project by GerbilCrab475 and others.
I thought it would take 2 weeks to build the road between Claxton and Ceald, but I finished it in 1. Next up -- random map items, then onward to Acheron (the inferno).
For now, have some bridges.
Textures by Rhodox and the crew at the Painterly Pack Continuation Project.
And so it begins...
Spent the week digging for gravel. This road is going to make me miss the savannah.
Textures by Painterly Pack and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project.
That's another one done. Just the inferno to go. Well, a few km of road, some scenery and an inferno to go.
Thanks again to Rhodox and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project.
I guess I'll post this but I'm not super proud of it. Idk who else played hereoes of mm3 but that was my jam as a child. I loved the swamp and the gnolls (just Tiva and Rosic) wanted to fanart.
HoMM 3
Tamika ( Necropolis )
Well, there's the altar of magic done. It looks pretty cool with the sea lanterns pulsing in the middle. It's huge, it looks vaguely like the picture, and it's magical as all get-out.
Below that is the marketplace.
And the last pic is of a neighborhood north of the town hall. You can just see a little group of rooftops in the HOMM3 interface picture so I decided to build a few houses here. Honestly, it's a nice little spot. I'd live here.
Hopefully I'll be finishing this town up this week -- just the pyre left to do.
As always -- the textures are by Painterly Pack and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project. Thanks guys!
Left to right: resource silo, random house, blacksmith, tavern.
Still to do: the market, more random houses, and the pyre.
Thanks as always to Rhodox and the Painterly Pack Continuation Project for the textures.
