So i have no life or self love and started reading the dainty holy rules or wathever in detail, let's be real nobody really reads them
So i found a somewhat new section about making merch of your dainty character, it's at the very bottom so it's very easy to miss or flat out ignore
It's stated that you can only produce 100 units of merch and if you wish to exceed that number you must have a little talk with pru to see if she allows this
So the realization hit me, if pru were to allow more products lf your character to be made it's very real that she'll demand a percentage of your hard earnt profit. I find this to be very possible and also massively shitty as well. Pru doesn't care for the species outside of it being her cash cow, the species been kept alive solely by the community and those poor paid mods who manage literally everything.
So if a naive artist were to make merch of their rightful oc, who they most likely paid to get and is also paying to get the products made, this specific rule sounds very scary and would be compelled to talk with pru. Who will have the opportunity to squeeze more money or scare the artist off (possible if the person refuses to pay her when she did virtually nothing)
So my personal advice to anyone here who wants to make merch out of their dainty oc, DO NOT talk to pru in any way or fashion, don't put your store link in the server or places were she can see it, she WILL abuse her power and squeeze you out or right out ban you, making you not only loose your oc but also all the time spent in the product and more importantly the money you put into producing it. Make as many as you want, just keep away the dainty and cs terminology, and don't put it in obvious places you can be caught.
It is YOUR character and YOUR money, don't let this greedy owner scare you off or make you give part of the earnings when the only thing she did is barely lifting a finger and even less these days
Go off, dainties aren't even that original, so most people won't even bat an eye
This isn't super new actually, it was added when vtubers got popular
