I took part in this year’s Palaeocast Art competition. Sadly, I didn’t win anything, but it was great to see so many talented palaeo artists, some much almost a decade younger than me.
Here’s my entry, it’s a pair of Deinonychus watching a future dinner, probably. Or seinfeld. Who knows?
Before I get corrected- I’m aware that raptors had their claws curled upwards- but I also remember a theory that they used them for climbing, and the idea here was that Deinonychus, being a bigger dino, would have anchored themselves like this when hanging out on trees.
