I MISS KATSU! 😩#paleostruggles (at 61st Street–Woodside)
Starting to wonder about this Paleo challenge. Have had an upset tummy a few times throughout this journey but today it has taken a turn for the worse.... starting to think it may not be worth it
Day 1 Recap...Ouch.
Day 1...is over.
All was well until roughly 2:00 p.m. when my head started POUNDING and I was suddenly dizzy. It was in that moment that I realized that in one day I had taken so much away from my body. So I popped in some sugary gum to hopefully give my body a little of what it had been missing and tried to weather the storm.
Come 4:30 p.m. though it was even worse. And I'm ashamed to say...I CHEATED! I bought a TINY can of diet coke and slurped it down, acknowledging that I had gone from drinking roughly 2-3 full sized cans and/or bottles daily, to nothing in 24 hours (spare me the lecture). I was amazed as my body suddenly normalized and I started to feel much better.
And then I was horrified.
It's a terrible feeling to suddenly understand how dependent your body has come to be on something so terrible for you. It was in that moment that I knew I was making the right decision to get right with my body now.
I'm proud to say that it's now 5:15 CST and I've yet to cave. All water all the way! My question to anyone reading this is...
How long were you Paleo before you body began to normalize and you stopped feeling the sugar cravings?

BREAKFAST DAY 2: Left over Egg Muffins & Salsa
*I will say this, I've managed to be much smarter with my cooking as of late. I'm cooking FOR leftovers and saving myself SO much time!
LUNCH DAY 2: Brussel Sprout, Kale & Apple Chicken Sausage with a Balsamic glaze. YUMMY!
Snack: 1/2 a Banana & Almonds.
