Aigis assets added in Version 5.0.2!
Aigis's persona, Palladion, is one of my many favorite personas from Persona 3!

Late to the party but Persona 3 is just a smorgasbord of Greek myth references so I'm going to go off about Aigis.
Aigis is an android made for protection who fails at that task, then is later set to the same task in a new context. Her persona is Palladion, a city's protective icon - famously, the Trojan statue of Athena later taken by Aeneas to Italy.
So she's a false image of a person made for protection, and so is a palladion, and *the* palladion also failed to protect its city then later was relocated elsewhere.
Also, maybe a stretch since Medusa was supposed to be ugly, but Aigis is also named for Athena's shield with Medusa's face, and is herself essentially a shield with a woman's face.
Her persona's visual design reflects this artifice, as it is, pretty bluntly, a weapon dressed up as a goddess (essentially what Aigis is, as well). And specifically, a *mechanical* weapon, as Aigis sees herself as just a machine that can falsely imitate humanity at best.
But then she has her character arc of developing emotion and learning to be a real person, and her persona evolves into Athena, the genuine person (goddess, whatever) that Palladion was just an artificial construct pretending to be.
I just live for the intertextuality of it all.

In Persona 4 Arena, EVERYONE says that Aigis reverts her Persona Athena to her initial Persona Palladion for her Instant Kill.
But tell me
does THIS
look like this?
NO! The weapon could simply be named/designed after her initial Persona.
I can see some similarities but it is NOT her old persona.
