What about a situation between Hero and Villain, during one of their battles, both gave each other a black eye respectively.
The next day, when they're in their Civilian Personas, they bump into each other at the store or coffee shop, instantly realizing who each other are by their respective black eyes.

Black Eye Ugly
When Hero drew back their arm to clock Villain in the nose, they didn't expect a punch to the eye. They staggered backwards, gasping, clutching their face, as Villain sneered at them.
"Not so strong now, are we?"
Fury surged through Hero. They lunged forward, snarling, and landed on Villain with a thud. The criminal cried out, rolling out of the way just as Hero swiped at the air. With a squeal, Hero swiped one more, their wrist catching on VIllain's face. Underneath them Villain coughed and squirmed.
"Stop, I can barely breath..."
Hero snarled, spit flying from their face and onto Villain's hair. They flinched under Hero's knee.
"I AM NOT WEAK!!"
Villain gasped for air, trying to pull an arm out. Hero looked away from them, pressing their knee further down into their chest.
Underneath them, Villain stilled.
Hero stood up slowly. Villain was unresponsive, unconscious, breathing faintly. With a cry, Hero punched at Villain directly where their swollen eye would've been in a mirror.

The next day, Hero stepped into the supermarket, breathing in the cold air. The searched through the aisles for painkillers, only to step into the last one; aisle 12. There was one other person. They were tall and strong, with deep brown eyes and hair.
"Rough night?" they mumbled as Hero scoured the shelves. They nodded. The voice sounded strangely familiar, but Hero struggled to put their finger on it. They turned to face the person.
"I'm Hero," they said, sticking out a hand. "What's your name?"
The stranger had an identical black eye to Villain.
"I'm Villain. Hey, look, we're both black eye ugly!"
Hero laughed uneasily. How had Villain found them?
