Today was a whole lot different than most of my Sundays.
After service, we drove down Maginhawa St. and hunted for a small store that I've been wanting to visit..
I was thinking hard on what I'm going to write about for my feature class. Our professor wants us to pass a travel log on the 6th of September and I knew for sure that it's gonna be tough for me because I know that I am not so much of a "traveler".
My mind's not-so-deep black hole came up with the idea of going to this haven. I read about it once, on a blog, and I figured that it would be a fun adventure. So I told my friend about it and asked if she could come with me since I know that she has this thing for books. And she agreed that we'd come for a visit this Saturday.
But I wanted to check where the store was exactly located.
We have this favorite restaurant, Pacinteria, at Maginhawa and I asked my parents if we could check on the store first before we go and have our lovely lunch.
It was a certain wow when I entered. I knew that it's going to be a cool shop but I never thought that it would be this cool.
If you'd focus on the right corner of this picture, you'll find where I got the title of this post. Credits to whoever wrote it on the green wall.
I would also want you to notice the cameras on the table. It's sad that they aren't for sale. Well, if ever they were, it would just be a source of depression because I don't even have money to pay for them so thank God they're not for sale.
John Green and Chuck Palahniuk books are reserved.. for other people. Which hurts so much.
But these babies cheered me up. They still have loads at the store and we're planning to buy some on Saturday. Yes, we, because my sister, my friend and my Mom. I know that last one doesn't have a complete thought. Just let it be.
The sun was up and the heat just burns so we already decided to meet the family for lunch. I did not take any photos because Bookay-Ukay had that effect on me.
Except the dessert deserved a photo. Thanks Dad, for the treat.
"I want that Brazo de Mercedes, please?"
Zion, Tito Roy, Tita Mik, Mom and Dad.
There's Zeke and us dealing with our sugar rush.
The day was long. You don't really wanna know what happened next because it'd probably humiliate me so.. Happy Holi-Monday!
