Back to exploding my headcanon of Kavik actually finding a blue panda lily for her later in her life.
Mary loved Lily, how could you not she was fire. Fierce, bright, beautiful. Dangerous. Her passion for life, academics and love burned.
Yet it never burned for Mary. Only on the evenings they drank too much and she was low on affection. Or needed a shoulder to cry on when James was a prat to her. Or worse in 5th year when she realized Pandora was as brilliant and mad as they said.
Watching them together was a lesson she wouldn’t forget. No one wins in unrequited love. So it’s best to just move on. Marlene asked her one night about it. They had too much to drink and Mary was just tired of keeping it to herself.
“I can write the saddest poem of all tonight. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.”

Have you seen that they've cast a white girl (Rooney Mara) as Tiger Lily in Pan? Also, I've noticed you've been absent for a few days...hope everything is okay.
Hello! I'm here and well. Thanks for the concern :)
There's a Peter Pan movie coming out?? This is the first time I'm hearing this. And, typically, they're going to cast yet another white person as someone who is supposed to be Native American. I'm not even surprised at this point. Hollywood always does this, especially to Native Americans. It's just a shame that when another golden opportunity to present a fresh actor of colour (a Native American, especially, as they are the least represented demographic in the US) is squandered to satisfy a subconscious white supremacist agenda.
However, I suppose we can also see this as a blessing; the way in which Native Americans are portrayed in Peter Pan is heavily stereotypical, at best. Having a white woman act as Panda Lily, while it is most certainly an act of racism, could also be perceived as something of a good thing because the last thing a Native American woman would need is to reinforce harmful stereotypes in a movie that clearly caters to a white audience. I can't say that for sure, though. I am not a Native American woman, so the foundation of my opinion is created from what little I know of the plight they face in North America.
Whatever the case, it's still racism and I say that it should be boycotted.
