Now I wanna know the lore of MJ joining the Salvador gang and what happened in the end
The episode would be the gang going to Brazil and arriving in Raimundo’s hometown, visiting and getting a new wu. His older sister is her usual cop self and demands to know why he’s home. After getting interrogated, she suddenly snaps at MJ over where he’s going and with who only to get snapped back at that he’s just going out. Mãe Pedrosa asks Rai to talk with MJ as he’s the only one he’ll listen to.
Trying to talk with his nephew doesn’t go well as MJ’s pretty stand offish with him too. It’s then we see that he’s meeting up with famous goods and animal smuggler Salvador Cumo. Sal is VERY interested in hearing more about this ‘Tío Rai’ MJ mentioned.
Curious about what’s going on, (and trying to get past the awkwardness of being witnesses to their friend’s family drama) the others ask Rai if everything’s alright. Raimundo tells them MJ’s dad, Mateo passed away when he was 6 and MJ was just a newborn. There was a flash flood and Mateo rushed back to help others when a barrier broke and there were no trained rescuers available. When asked where the rescuer personnel were, he replied ‘they were told to go somewhere else in case it got worse.’ It’s then they realize why the whole Mala Mala Jong incident hit Rai the hardest.
MJ returns and asks to hang out with his Tío for a bit, and Rai agrees. Taking him surfing, Rai is asked what his dad was like. Telling him all he can, Rai asks why his mom hasn’t told him anything. He finds out that she took all his photos down and doesn’t like talking about him. When asked if that’s why he’s been so moody, MJ snaps that he’s just tired of people leaving him for other things. When Rai tries to explain that no one’s leaving him, MJ says they do. His mom for her job, his dad to play hero, even Rai to be some Dragon warrior. The one person who hasn’t left is Sal. When Rai asks who that is, MJ just storms off.
Dojo, being left to his own devices, decides to take a peek around Rai’s sleepy little town. It’s there he runs into MJ who asks if the dragon wants to go to the stores for a taste of Brazil. Dojo, like a child to a van promising free candy, agrees to it. Taking the little dragon down a path, MJ takes him to a posh looking house and walks in. Introducing himself to the dragon, Sal gets Dojo to tell them about this odd item they have. It’s the wu, known as the Emerald Eye of Gili. Salvador thanks MJ for the help, before his men snatch Dojo up. MJ wants to know what he’s doing, to which Salvador has a very interested buyer for the dragon…Pandabubba. Explaining that by using the wu, Salvador can become the most feared criminal in Brazil, while Pandabubba can have the dragon to ransom off more Wu from the young monks…along with Mr. Tohomiko’s company, and the Bailey family ranch. When MJ says that wasn’t what he was promised, Sal laughs and says he knows, he’s there so his police chief mother will let them leave without arrest.
Finding MJ and Dojo gone, the group and Rai’s sister look for them, where the siblings finally blow up at each other. His sister barks that he’s the same immature boy who almost caused the world to end. Surprised she knows this, Rai shoots back that at least he’s not the one keeping MJ from knowing his dad. She snaps that Mateo made his choice to be a hero and left her and MJ alone. Realizing they’re still hurting from his loss, the two put aside their differences and go after Salvador. After a battle and his sister hugging MJ saying she can’t lose him too, the family slowly starts to heal.
that’s the basic run down of it and if I had the time, or if anyone cared enough, I’d write a whole episode fic of it.
