Summary for my NOVEL!
Umm, please leave feedback!! this is the one that I want to get officially published. Loosely based off of Momentary peace, but super different and original I would say. Enjoy??
In this world where people are told they can do anything if they just apply themselves, a man in a wheelchair tries to learn how to walk again, and to sleep without jolting awake from nightmares about a crime he committed under pressure many years ago.
In a day and age where sane and careful decisions are praised, the same man’s teen sister spends the last trimester of her pregnancy in an asylum, scared of her own thoughts.
Her twin who is nonverbal and autistic, is sealed away from speech, but is so bright, and unfortunately misunderstood.
A teenage boy tries to leave his gang for a better life. A woman who was blackmailed into sex work tries to save the newest and youngest recruit. A girl with Dissociative Identity Disorder falls in love with an equally traumatized young man, and learns that she is pregnant with a baby she doesn’t remember conceiving.
The man in the wheelchair mentioned before, falls in love with his greatest enemy, a man that loves him, but is scared to hold his hand in public; a man with great weaknesses and strength and plenty to deal with on his own.
Somehow in one city, all these individuals live and struggle and find themselves connecting in ways they don’t expect.
They all just want their tiny little family to survive, and prosper if they are foolish enough to aim that high.
We as people are programmed to be straight, able bodied, wise and put together. It is expected of us to be law abiding, to be perfect and whole. Flawless.
For the people who aren’t flawless and never ever will be, this book is for you
