Y'all know Pando Forest in Utah, right? Well, I was just thinking about it (it's literally one of my favorite places) and started wondering if only one tree nymph would inhabit the forest because Pando is only one tree or if there would be multiple tree nymphs of the same tree. Dryads are known to live around trees, spirits of the forest, while hamadryads are tied to and live as part of a single specific tree. (Also, only a single hamadryad can live in a tree) So I guess what I'm wondering is if Pando would be a single hamadryad, a few dryads, or both?

Our own personal Pando Forest

As I drove through downtown from Broad Ripple I passed by 14th and Delaware and remembered warm sunny days when I'd bleach and cut Jaffke's hair before we sat on the stoop to talk (mostly about Occupy), laugh, smoke, be in peoples' way because we didn't see them coming up towards the building or out of the door. I nearly broke down but then my bestie texted me and saved me from another outpouring.

I know everyone keeps saying it but we do have an amazing deeply-rooted circuit of friends that keeps gathering others.

There's a forest in the western US where every single tree has exactly the same DNA because one tree rooted so deeply that its roots kept sprouting buds that turned into other trees. That's Jaffke, I think. He planted roots and then amassed a collection of friends and created a beautiful thing. Some of us, like me, didn't sprout as closely to him but we were still always connected by our roots.
