What do you think of Raphael and Bernadetta's support together?
It's pretty great from start to finish and its one of the best pairings in the game. It gets an 11/10 from me.
I quickly read all of Bernadetta's supports and he's the only one who respects her boundaries and properly helps her overcome her aversion to people.
The only other supports that try to tackle it is Ferdinand and Ingrid, the former threatening her with force to which Bernadetta retaliates to by pushing him away and Ingrid by breaking her door and dragging her against her will. Ferdinand atleast apologizes for his behavior, takes full responsibility and they both properly move on from this. Ingrid doesn't.
This is another great example that Raphael is smarter than he's perceived as and can pick up social and emotional cues better than even the more smarter characters.
If it's not too much asking, do you think you could look up Marianne's dialogue too? I'm just curious about her in general but I'm sure you'll find something that... was changed.

I haven't found a lot of glaring differences, and the ones I noticed aren't about Marianne herself but more about the persons she's talking to
First I found this, uh, glaring difference in her Tru Piss ending with Ferdie :
Pat nuked the "re-training" and the "under the pretense that it was domestic training" or the "when her talent was recognised"...
Like, Marianne's shrewd dad pretends to train her to become a housewife, and only when her talent at not domestic training is recognised she goes to Ferdie ?
Mmh... I wonder if margrave edmund isn't counting on her as a spy or something - under the pretense of training her to become a housewife, he actually teaches her to do spy stuff and she becomes a covert agent in Adrestia...

In the other endings, they work together with Edmund to restore the land, but where he apparently isn't able to do anything on his own like the badass he is in the original text, in Pat's version Marianne had to chime in.
In the og ending, she and Ferdie try to become a bit independant from him and restore Aegir little by little, with Marianne's efforts being remarked.
Margrave Edmund's participation in the production of tools is disminished to give Marianne a greater role in the localised ending, but more importantly, it's Hanneman, not Marianne who created the "use crests for peaceful uses" branch, and he used his researches to support her, they never became "the legacy of Marianne's later years".
Tfw the "bird restaurant" was nuked :(

In the original text though, she would be troubled, not offended in the least, but hey, did y'know Religion BaD?

Nice Nod from JP!Hanneman to his Doro!convo though, using power correctly for the sake of the people and for the world is the reason why nobles exist, or at least, what he believes nobility is.
"that is the reason for the existence of crests" though... yikes - like, I can see Chilon say this to rationalise Nemesis's raid so... oh well

Not a lot of glaring lolcalisation bloopers save for the usual jabs at Religion BaD and for some reason, disminishing the badass-ness of Marianne's adoptive dad or, in their paired ending, Hanneman's wish to "come out with peaceful uses for crests".

Petra : Harming Trees is bad because they have spirits and it's important, the tree gives us food and shelter but it also needs us. We live in harmony, all those things.
Clout : Ah yes, you're close to the nature, unlike those stupid Fodlan people who believe everything comes from their goddess and forgot nature.
Petra : Remember when I said Billy-sensei turning green looks like the spirits I am often talking about? And how the Fodlan Goddess basically made and created those spirits? - Who am I kidding, I can't tell you this, we're in a Fodlan game, you must always have a point and Church BaD.

Clout : I mean, imagine if the Hresvelgs could trace their lineage to Saint Seiros herself, who is said to be, in her own scriptures, a Child of the Goddess aka not a human herself or at least a divine being. I'd look like an imbecile, right?

Petra : But you know how to climb trees and take care of your equipment ! I'm so impressed, I've never seen any noble take care of his own stuff before. What is that? Ferdie oils his own weapons and armor? Who is that Ferdie you're talking about?

Granted, given how Petra was trashtalked by Hubert (or trash thought) when he first met her and was around the most, uh, decadent part of Adrestian Nobility, I can't fault her for thinking Claude climbing to trees and tending to his own bow is extraordinary - but I suppose if she ever went to see any BL what she finds "abornmal in Fodlan and totes only Adrestia because that's the only place she visited" wouldn't be so... abnormal.
I'm glad I helped even if I wasn't intending to write a meta piece lol, but simply note how the few maps/convos worked very well to depict the character.
TBH, after browsing stuff here and there on redshit, I was expecting a different character than the one I ultimately end up with, and I started to wonder if this wasn't another issue of "Rhage" case : aka, being sold a character with certain traits that are praised or flanderized in fandom, when those traits are... not that present in the game, or straight up added by the loc.
Granted, without access to the JP script, I can only compare with mine and the tone/direction of the JP audio.
I already noted it with the line to Aubin, but why the frick the loc decided to make her ruder?

Virginia meets Joseph to discuss about the plan he had, to basically wait until her nemesis leaves his fortress to take it while it's empty, because what is most important is taking the fortress, not killing the bastard general.
But for Virginia, it's personal and she wants her revenge against the dude, thus she doesn't want to let this chance to rekt him slip away.
Now, she's much more incisive and rude to Joseph in the US version :
Sure the French script isn't the jp one, but with the jp audio there's no condescending tone or insulting the plan, she's just resuming it.
I'm in no way fluent in Japanese, but whatever Virginia was saying here was definitely not "spineless old man" to someone she respects and deep inside knows is right and reasonable when she cannot be in this situation.
I'm wondering if she wasn't thought to be a "#badass woman" and localised as such aka being unecessarly rude and haughty when upset.
Rapport convos are not voiced so I'm a bit more blind when it comes to them, but the "vile temptress" to Scarlett introducing her to a caterpillar seems odd (unless "temptress" means something else than the accepted meaning of someone seducing others?) just like the "loathsome ingrate" to Aramis after his prank (why "ingrate"? Was he supposed to be grateful for something?), but I'll need to check them out too.
Much like the Jugdral era and its characters, usually I wouldn't complain about minor change X or Y of a word or two, but when the characters don't have a lot of script/lines... well, we're supposed to work with scraps, and each word becomes important so...
Tl;DR : when it comes to some characters, I feel like trying to talk about Fodlan like are we talking about the same characters...
