Chapter 3 of "Like Riding A... What?" is up! Two to go!

Summary:

The Hex catches on to something the Drifter is doing (or rather, pointedly isn't doing) early on, and it's time for A Talk. The Drifter is basically a feral cat who hasn't quite decided yet whether they want to be adopted or are just here for the food, so what should be a simple question turns into something between sitcom slapstick banter and a soap opera scene. Saying that things go "a bit tits-up" is an understatement, but don't worry about it. They're fine. Tl;dr: The Drifter isn't using an Atomicycle and The Hex are Concerned but Kind Of Assholes About It. Drifter gets riding lessons. They go poorly. Basically Rank 1/Neutral Chemistry levels all around, sometime in mid-February.

Title: Magic Missile-toe Chapter: 1 of 14/16 Rating: M (for now) Characters/Pairings: Jaspidot Summary: Christmas fic! Peridot hasn't had the best year. Her girlfriend kicked her out, she's crashing on her bestie's couch, and her other new roommate is kind of a dick. Jasper agrees to fill in for Lapis's character in the Christmas Edition Dungeons and Dragons Marathon Session that Peridot is DMing, but things... don't go so well. A begrudging kiss under the mistletoe ends not with them making up, or making out, but with the pair landed in the middle of Lethys, the universe Peridot created for their game. Now, they're racing to rescue Greatfather Winter before Midwinter's Eve, in the hopes that he can send them home. Like a Lifetime movie but without the compulsive heterosexuality and way more crass jokes and bad language. Chapter Summary: It’s a rocky start. Notes: Hoping to update this daily until Christmas! Got it all planned out, now if only my writing skills are up to the challenge!! The first chapter was over 6.5k words... let’s hope the rest goes a bit faster.
