Just let it be known that I hate the word “headmates”, especially when it comes out of a real systems mouth. They are not “headmates”. They are either false personas/imaginary friends/psychotic figments (depending on how seriously you believe they are real) or they are alters. There is no grey area. Using a word like “headmates” not only sounds really unprofessional and stupid, but it also creates the misguided impression that there is a grey area. Because if you aren’t calling them alters, then there must be some kind of “headmate” beside alters- Which. There’s not. So stop using it, real systems.

As for you fake systems, you can fuck right off and go throw yourself into a river (I’m not saying drown yourself, to be clear. But it’s winter so jumping in a river would be pretty fucking unpleasant) and just not appropriate a serious mental disorder at all. That would be much appreciated, thanks.

TL;DR: If you have DID/OSDD-1 (and therefore actually have alters), please for the love of the Goddess (or God, or whoever you may worship), please do not use the word “headmates” to describe your alters. It makes you sound uncultured, uneducated, and no matter how legit you are, it makes you sound fake.

I have just doled out our medication for the day and I’m calling our clinic to get one of the prescriptions refilled, since I see we’re running low.  I think I am going to try to get some of our faceclaim folders reorganized today- with so many integrations, so many people have new faceclaims or their pictures go in another folder because they’ve become part of a subsystem when previously they weren’t.  Then there are the pictures we don’t need anymore.... That will probably take me a while- but hopefully not too long! Then I know at some point we should either do some yoga or go for a walk.

It means I’ll end up probably not staying out long because I like talking to people (unless I start reading or writing, then I can get very caught up) and that is often what I come out for 😓..... Tom’s System

Recently, we posted that we learned a lot more about Tom’s subsystem, and never got around to an update on that. So here it is. We won’t give full details here since that would be long and that is what the alter pages are for, but here is an overview and a bit of explanation.

People and Their Roles

Only in regard to their own subsystem

Tom: 30, male- core/host [MP]

Thomas: 16, male- academic, socializer, caretaker (physical) [ANP]

Tom [Riddle]/Riddle: 16, male- protector (mental/emotional), analyst; fictional introject [EP]

Marvalo: 30s, male- protector (physical), sexual alter; fictional introject [EP]

Tom [the elder]: 40s, male- gatekeeper, caretaker (mental/emotional) [EP]

Voldemort: 70s, male- protector (spiritual), creative; fictional introject [EP]

Tommy: 8, male- little, trauma holder [EP]

You can see, looking at that list that all the protectors formed along the line of introjecting from a single character. The non-protectors did not. If anyone is interested, the order in which these parts formed, as far as we know is: Tom (obviously), Tommy, Thomas, Tom the elder, Riddle, Marvalo, and Voldemort. It is important to note, however, that despite forming after Riddle and also being along the introject line, Marvalo and Voldemort did not form from him but from Tom.

Because they are almost all named some version of “Tom”, you may hear us refer to people by different labels of that one name. For example if you hear us say “proper Tom”, we mean the host/core of his subsystem, the original/primary Tom. If we say Tom the elder, we mean the gatekeeper. (We’re not yet sure if he actually does have some manner of differentiated name beyond that. If he does, then their system isn’t saying, but that would be par the course for crypticness.) If we say Tom the younger we mean Riddle. Everyone else has a different version of the name so it should be fairly self explanatory.

Finally, there is an extremely interesting way in which their subsystem manifests in our inner world. Or more to the point, they have their own inner world, which intersects with the main one in a very fascinating way. We may write more about that at a later date.

Concerned we might have a weird assortment of people out who don’t normally do hours of everyday life for the next couple days. Cuz of the main fronters (James, Zane, Tom, Regina, Giselle, Lisa, Skylar, and Melody; and then backup people like me, Daphne, and people from Regina’s subsystem) only James and Zane technically haven’t had an integration directly into them or into their subsystem (neither has a subsystem). Though they are working on an integration (with each other). So like....... if we all need to rest, who the fuck is going to be doing life? Hopefully we won’t need that much rest. Or the people whose subsystems had integrations are still fine to not need recoup time other than the parts in them that did. I’m probably the most not weirded out. Cuz my integration was like a teeny little part of someone who then went like 92% into someone else.

Also, to, I’m 25 now. Would you look at that. [I was 19.] Anyway, I’m exhausted so I’m checkin inta bed. Peace out ✌🏻

Making a post because apparently no one has ever seen me front before?? I’m slightly confused on that but okay. Here ya go- record of me existing.

Wow, James has just been out for over five and a half hours (and he’s still co-conscious with me). That’s a long ass time for any of us, given how things have gone the past while, but it’s also the longest time I have ever seen him front outside of an emergency. 😮 Since he has said he wants to be around more (or someone said he is supposed to be, but whatever), that’s a good thing. Just.... usually it doesn’t just change like that suddenly. So I’m just like woah!

Becca’s Name

While Alex was still present as we were switching she had a thought relating our friend -well something they talked about- to a movie she loved very much when the body was her age (8 or 9), The Little Princess, and somehow it just connected (like watching her memories of that) that we think Becca got her name from Becky in that movie. We didn’t (most of us) even remember that was the other girl’s name. And now that Alex is gone, it isn’t clear why anymore, but for that moment it made so much sense that Becca would have gotten her name from that.
