Papal rules are rules.
Last March I took a trip to Italy with some friends. While we were there, we took a tour of the Vatican with a glacially-paced Italian woman named Luciana. When in Rome. Basically there was one rule: do not take photos inside the Sistine Chapel. My friend Maya took a selfie inside the Sistine Chapel. Luciana caught her and made an example of her in front of our group. Needless to say, after a three hour tour of the courtyard, and ten minutes inside the Sistine Chapel, plus a lecture about following the rules, Maya was not in love with the tour.
We got home a few weeks before April 1, just enough time for the "Papal State" to locate their suspect and send her this email. It was the icing on the cake.
This was so so fun.
