Origami Frog Study: Structure & Fluidity in Watercolor
A look into an experimental wildlife study at the Roi Pajursky Art Studio.
This piece explores the form of an Origami Frog, juxtaposing sharp, calculated geometric folds with the fluid, unpredictable nature of watercolors on paper.
The objective of this study was to examine how rigid, artificial geometry reacts when rendered through a loose and transparent organic medium. By layering delicate washes of green, teal, and earthy ochre tones, the artwork defines both the physical dimensions of the folded paper and the living essence of the amphibian form it represents.
This work continues the studio’s structural and anatomical investigations within The Laboratory Matrix series.
