justin finally stfu about the aladdin thing thankfully and was like im white im not gonna go for it on twitter but he did play aladdin in a 2011 movie so like what is the truth.... also from the pilot screenplay i am pretty sure rafael was written as latino originally but they made him ambiguous for justin (i do like him so as long as they changed it to italian im fine) at least he learned from his mistakes or whatever
yeah in that video he tweeted he said he wasn’t gonna audition cause he’s white and he doesn’t want to whitewash aladdin, honestly the only good man… in 2011 he probably had no idea of these issues and now he just got better.
i’m sure in the script of the pilot they don’t describe him as latino or of any other background. idk i’ve never seen rafael as latino because i googled the cast before i started watching and i knew justin was italian and the guy who played his dad was italian as well so… and luisa could be latina because her mama was most likely latina, so yea
