I am having thoughts about a very specific Neville/Luna/Lavender/Percy??
Like. Neville/Luna/Lavender are a thing and accidentally adopt Percy and in their eyes, Percy is their partner, but to Percy he's just like "my roommates are so affectionate. Pity they don't like me back"
Am I going mad or am I on to something lol
When it comes to fun Percy ship combo's I'm always down for it so i think you're on to something.
That is such a funny concept
They think he agreed to join the polycule while he's under the impression that they're all just living together to save money and in his case get his family off his back about not being social.
They all think he's just a little uptight or just wanting to go slowly that it's just new for him and he's just not there yet for a heavy level of affection. Not helped at all by him practically still showing all three of them affection in a way that they immediately take as romantic.
While he doesn't question at all when Luna's room doesn't even have a bed in it because from his perspective she's not home very often anyway so why wouldn't she just sleep in someone else's bed. So it's like why not use the extra space for something else since she has a lot of random stuff anyway.
I think Luna gets away with a lot of affection without him questioning it too much because he thinks that she's always been a little odd like that and just goes with it. Because that's my favorite breed of Luna/Percy anyway.
So to him her crawling into bed with him after coming home from a week long trip following a tip about some creature is no different to that time she swung a lemon slice over his head and tried to make him drink straight lemon juice as a first year while claiming it would get rid of the creatures causing him to be upset.
Like he's just like "She's just always been like that-"
Then of course with Lavender from his perspective she's just huggy and affectionate with everyone even though that's mostly just from who he sees her interact with the most aka her best friends and then her partners. Also again i think it's clouded a bit from remembering her a little from school because i do love paperseer with a Lavender one side crush that happened during her third year when she found out Percy likes divination and was willing to help her with stuff relating to it if she got stuck. So alot of the ways she's shows affection go over his head a bit.
I think she could say she loves him and kiss him and he'd still not think she was serious about it.
Neville to me feels very low key in general when it comes to affection (to be fair though like i said he's a character i have a hard time like getting from a writing standpoint so i might be way off) so he's not likely to be loud and bombastic about it. It's a lot more like little things that can very easily be misread as nothing.
Though I do think out of all of them if he did come out and just say it or try to kiss him then he'd be the only one that Percy would immediately like believe it and understand what's going on without him having to explain Vs thinking it's more of a lighthearted like joke when Lavender does it or just thinking it's Luna being Luna when Luna does it.
I also think Percy is very used to him blushing and stuttering around him because he used to do that all the time at Hogwarts so he just doesn't question why that is. (I'm thinking about that one deleted movie scene where Percy just has Trevor in his pocket but also how Neville always had like something happening to him and how i think it's pretty reasonable that Percy would try to check up on him from time to time and that maybe causing a bit of an effect on Neville)
idk how this became "They all had a crush on Percy during their school years and that being part of why Percy doesn't realize that they're into him because they're all acting just like themselves to him" but idk I love when younger students have a crush on Percy during his Hogwarts years it's cute and i think the concept of the three getting together and then realizing they all want him to be funny.
