Consequences || Andromeda & Ted
It took Andromeda several moments of gasping for proper breath to gather her courage to try to move. She still didn't trust her legs, shaky as she was, and with tears streaming inexplicably down her face, she must have looked a mess. But she knew that no matter her mental state, no matter her guilt, she had to see if Ted was alright.
If Bellatrix had shown her the truth, he could be dying on the street.
Andy started to crawl, sliding on the tile floor, taking it small amounts at a time. Fumbling with the lock, forgetting that Bella- the one she had just tortured- had locked it. Not trusting her legs to support her if she reached for her own wand. Things were a blur, her head still swirling with its defenses being breached, and next thing she knew, she was half crawling, half falling down the stairs.
She pushed the main door of the building open, yellow light flooding over a now-dark street, mist hovering in low clouds over the faint streetlamps. Andy started to drag herself, slowly, over the pavement. As if the world were utterly against her, it began to rain, a cold drizzle that made sight nearly impossible.
Soaked, still trembling, unable to see anything but water, and tears still leaking in irregular trails, she tried call out. "Ted?" She said it as loud as she could, but it was hardly more than a whisper.
