(I’m a week late but I still wanna talk about it)
l still haven’t gotten over how incredibly well the show is handling Alec’s and Jace’s parabatai bond. I know that the show has skimped on some things and details from the book, but they have treated their bond so so well and have really emphasized the importance of it. Giving us full on flashbacks of their first meeting, the bond ceremony, and ect. I know they may have overdone the whole ‘Alec using the bind to find Jace’ thing but I still adore their connection. And in 2x03 we really got to see more of Jace needing Alec in the same- sometimes unhealthy- way that Alec needs Jace. He went through so much shit just to make sure that Alec, his brother, his parabatai, was safe. Even when he got arrested, all he cared about was Alec’s safety. And even in 2x04, one of the first things he talks to Clary about is how Alec is doing. I love it when we get to see Jace breaking that (horrible) stereotype from the book about Alec being the only one who really cares. Jace cares so much. I firmly believe that if we got to see Jace’s memory of who he loved most it would have been Alec. Their bond is so deep and I just really think that their brotherly relationship is so important. Also that crying scene when Jace finally got to Alec fucked my shit UP. I’m honestly surprised my heart is still beating after that.

Magnus crying and holding on to Clary for support AND THEN him being so overjoyed by Alec waking up that it's clear he wants to push everyone out the way to hug him. THIS EPISODE IS EVERYTHING!!!
