I’m so happy we get to see more of Tim on Paradise! Yay!!
i watched Oban star racers a few month ago and one thing I particularly appreciate about it is the designs. Paradice was probably my favorite character in terms of design.
My most successful attempt at drawing a humanoid figure. Coloring is still painful tho
robot is ready to take some notes, and take the stage!! ✨
this was my half of an art trade i did with @artnerd1123! they wanted to see robot, from their lovely dicey dungeons fanfic paradice!

Some headcanons for Para-Dice's species because I'm hyperfixating bad
They come from the planet Weta and the species are called Wetians.
Cybernetic in nature, Wetians' bodies naturally "play nice" with cybernetics and augmentations. A human's body may reject a metal hip replacement, but a Wetian's body will never.
Weta is a little Cybertronesque, in that some wildlife and other naturally-occuring structures and "plantlife" is mechanical. Thus, cybernetics have been a part of their history since the beginning, incorporating the advantages of mechanical wildlife into their own.
Even today, technology always works in tandem with nature on Weta. A lot of Wetian technology sports a similar ipod-ish aesthetic to Para-Dice's homemade ship and robot.
While all of them have "whiskers" and secondary sensors (that dome camera thing on top of the head), the purpose of them varies from individual to individual. For Para-Dice, the whiskers give data regarding proximity to nearby obstacles (like a real cat's whiskers, only souped up) and the secondary senors work as a targeting system.
Cybernetics vary from Wetian to Wetian, but they'll always have a boxy head, whiskers, and a secondary sensor.
While not as advanced as, say, Gumaria (where Sul comes from) or as combat-focused as the Crog Imperium's tech, Wetian tech is still pretty advanced.
