That just happened

I'm with paradoxwizard and well i just am really irritated rn I'm at California adventure for literally the second time ever and this guy coming towards me is swerving towards me and just coming straight at me Then when we're basically in line with each other he throws himself to the ground as if I'd shoved him His friends just behind him go "oh my god are you ok?" Since i know i didn't touch him other than maybe our shoes hitting right before he threw himself down, i know it's bs ESPECIALLY SINCE HIS FRIENDS WE'RE RECORDING WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS THERE'S LITERALLY NO REASON anyway so if you see a video of me looking like a total asshole like this its fake and screw that guy

So day before yesterday I had this nagging headache and my friend gave me some motrin which I swallowed dry because liquids weren't a thing and she told me "you know, you could burn a hole in your throat if you do that too much"

And later that day I started getting a soar throat and went "no"

Then the next day I was super sick and one of my symptoms was A SOAR THROAT and I went "NO"

And pretty much anything can happen for the rest of the week because I don't have a hole in my throat I'm just diseased.

1.) The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.  This story is near and dear to me for a number of reasons.  First, it’s because the magic and beauty of Tolkien’s words and world has always ignited something in my soul.  Second, it was the first novel-length work that my father read to me.  I was eight years old at the time, and reading them was a bonding experience that later led us to bring the entire family into a reading time.  I’m twenty now, and still read with my parents and four younger siblings.

2.) Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.  I was in seventh grade when my father read the (abridged) version of Les Miserables to the family, and it was the first book that ever made me develop my own ideas of how the world worked in accordance of good and evil, justice and mercy.  Since then I’ve read the unabridged version (or at least large parts of it), and seen the Broadway show thrice: a traveling show, in Chicago, and in London.

3.) The Standard Works.  This is a bit of Mormon Lingo here, and it pretty much includes the scriptural texts of The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price.  I have read all of these cover to cover, and studied them extensively. The Book of Mormon and the New Testament are my favorites, and both of them have brought me an incredible degree of peace in my life.

4.) Sons by Pearl S. Buck.  The second in Buck’s trilogy, and, for me, more fascinating than The Good Earth.  The characters and stories are as dynamic as anything you could wish for out of a high fantasy novel, but with a touch more realism. Aside from being one of those novels that places you completely in a world apart from your own that is still a part of your own, it was incredible to see how people, no matter their culture or time period, are fundamentally the same.

5.) The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.  Regardless of your belief system, Screwtape has some incredible insights into the human mind and the literal and metaphorical demons that we face.  It’s both insightful and frightening, because if it is read with an open mind, there is always at least one chapter where you realize that the devil is talking about you.

6.) Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury.  It’s really difficult to choose a book from Ray Bradbury’s vast collections, but in the end, everything always returns to Dandelion Wine.  It’s not an edge-of-your-seat story, but rather, one in the same stream as My Neighbor Totoro, about a boy struggling to grow up, but who still sees magic in everything.

7.) The Discworld by Terry Pratchett.  I have only found this series within the past two years, but have fallen in love with Pratchett’s funny and thoughtful stories, with his incredibly real characters.  It’s impossible to describe them, really, but it’s the kind of series that pieces fall off and stick to you in unexpected ways.

8.) Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa.  Yes, this is a manga series, but it was by far the most impactful series I read in late high school.  To this day, I am inspired by Arakawa’s pacing, characters, and worldbuilding. And I won’t even lie; this series was part of my inspiration to go into Biomedical Engineering.

9.) Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer.  I never really got into the Percy Jackson series, but I fell in love with Artemis Fowl.  Maybe literally.  I don’t know, junior high is a really weird period, okay?

10.) +Anima by Natsumi Mukai.  Another manga series, but the only one that, to this day, I still cherish completely.  The story is simple and sweet, with characters that are more heart than anything else.  The art style and characters heavily influenced my stories as I proceeded through high school.

8. If you were a superhero, what would your backstory be? (AS IN WHO WOULD YOU KILL OFF TO MAKE YOUR STORY TRAGIC) D: whyy finee ill try umm uh god ok uh my aunt and uncle?? i was staying with them cuz they were gonna take me out to uh do uh something idk and then ah something weird happened umm a crazy scientist guy wanted to try out his new weapon thing which was designed to basically shoot biochemical powdery stuff at the target person/creature and would basically kill someone in an undetectable way cuz it sorta changed your body a little at a time so that your body has a harder and harder time just taking in oxygen from your bloodstream. and so the guy was in his lab  but he wasnt careful and the vents were just a tiny bit open and a little of the stuff got out and got them. i got hit too but i had some weird mutation that made it not work on me...instead i could use the around me to fly and stuff (basically i can airbend yyeeah). but then my aunt and uncle died so then there goes the excitement. so i realized that i got my powers about the same time my aunt and uncle started feeling sick. so i investigated to see what places around there had chemically stuff goin on cuz no way did both of them get sick and me get powers without some weird stuff going on. and i found the lab and figured it out..that scientist was going crazy from stress and stuff and he became my (first)nemesis. the end wow that actually..wasnt awful sorry aunt and uncle ehe

9. Which x-men character do you relate to the most? uhh hm i guess jean? i mean before she goes dark phoenix. idk all i have to go on are the movies. shes like the one who takes care of people but doesnt put herself like out there? idk 

10. Is there such a thing as evil? no but there is such a thing as wrong actions, wrong beliefs. nothing is totally evil--like even those we call evil (like hitler) didnt do it because they were evil--they genuinely believed in what they were doing. were some of those people crazy? yes. but not evil per se.

What are the common themes in your OTPs? well i dont really ship much but mostly that they are just really cute together and seem so idk super happy around each other

What’s your obsession? any possible way to avoid doing my homewor--what i mean homestuck, cheeseballs from target, reading (especially when characters have a good sense of humor so it isnt as heavy)

If you could do your homework without getting a question wrong, would you still do it the minute before class starts? did you not see my previous answer? obviously

Favorite candy oh god what ummm skittles...or jolly ranchers...or starburst maybe too...basically the ones that just taste like pure sugar meant to rot out your teeth

If you had to chose between 100% accurate, cheap, handmade cosplays and the money to learn how to sew, buy materials, and enough pocket money for any con, what would you pick? oh jeez umm probably the learning how to do it myself? as lazy as i am, i do love when you can just step back and be proud of something you made. idk just the pride of having made something exactly to your tastes just sounds awesome to me

If you had to give up pizza for a year and you got $200 for each day you didn’t eat it, would you take the deal? jeez i eat pizza like every other day in the dining hall when the food sucks...but $200...hmm...what happens when i succumb to my desires? i dont think i could go a whole year...maybe 2 weeks, but not a whole year

Any fun games you would recommend? if we're talking sports, definitely tennis otherwise...word around is a game some of my band friends and i discovered at this store called marbles this past weekend thats entertaining..also cards against humanity, if you can bear the almost guaranteed dirty jokes
