Everytime I hear people's ghost stories about how their house is haunted, it's always scary shit like sleep paralysis or Victorian ladies staring into cribs.
What about mundane ghost stories? What is something weird that has happened to you that you're fairly certain is paranormal, but not actually scary or harmful? It happens and you accept it.
Mine is that my abuelita wasn't in the ground a week before our living room light started going off on it's own whenever we were in there. At first we thought the bulbs in the chandelier died or wiring was weird because old house. But it was none of those things, the dial for the light dimmer was turned all the way off when we had it turned on the brightest setting. No one lived with us at the time and all the relatives that came to pay their respects were long gone. This kept happening in the couple more years we lived in that house, and my mom accepted that there was nothing wrong with the light fixture, so it must have been her mother messing with us. Which apparently was very in brand for her.

the traveler
people come and go, create and destroy. they can do so many things, yet so few do.
the traveler had gone again. the darkness enveloped the house like a curtain, ivy clinging to paint-peeling wooden panels barely illuminated by the glow of a humming street lamp. keys jangled in my pocket, as i withdrew them, and slid the silver one into the lock. click.
the traveler had gone again. his bicycle, black and wet with dew, lay where it always had been and always would be. my own across from it, tethered to the back porch. the door swung inwards, as i stepped over the brown kitten who gave a mewl of displeasure as i closed the door again. click.
the traveler had gone again. i flicked on the lights in the kitchen, overcome with a sense of space around me, and of the intense quiet. it was late, i'd just gotten home from work. i fumbled with the tie around my neck, as i made my way through the kitchen and into the connecting hall. i reached my bedroom door. click.
the traveler had gone again. the light panels on the wall flickered to life, recognizing my presence. i began to sing softly to myself, undoing the buttons of my shirt one by one. i paused, my brows knotted together- my roommate was probably home, why had i thought it would be alright to sing? i'd seen his bicycle in the yard.
the traveler had gone again. my hand moved towards my pocket, extracting the phone within. the screen illuminated softly, a sweet familiarity was this. my fingers gently tapped across the flat surface. 'are you home tonight?' click.
the traveler had gone again. i could hear the kitchen door swing inwards, the lights flick on again. he had been gone, and i had known as much.
the traveler had gone again.
irritated, i turned in early.
In an interview with Interview Magazine published June 6th, actress and musician Courtney Love admitted to once having seen the ghost of her deceased husband Kurt Cobain. Cobain died by suicide on April 5th, 1994, at the age of 27. In the interview, Love—now a practicing Buddhist—spoke frankly
Courtney Love is the latest celebrity to share a paranormal encounter.
so in my old house there was common sitings of these three children. there was an older girl who kinda just stayed at the end of my hallway near my grandmas room. there was an even littler girl (about toddlerish-to early childhood) who stayed by my sliding glass door mostly and then there was a little boy who stayed in the kitchen area which is where my room was. my room wasnt apart of the original floor plan. it wasnt supposed to be there. now, nobody ever said anything about that room. it was originally my aunts and then my grandmas friends. and it was fine. nothing weird happened. but when i moved in there at 8 i started noticing some weird fucking shit. for one, my door used to open and close by itself. c o n s t a n t l y. even when i used to put something infront of it to keep it open, itd somehow close. and id watch it. no one was there.
so that was fun. but that was it. things moved, the door opened and closed, and whatever else. i got used to it.
and then when i was 14, i started making friends who thoughr i was interesting enough to spend the night and amongst them there was this boy named kody.
and kody told me priorly that he could see ghost. so like cool.
so i was 14, sitting on my bed goofily talking to kody and all of a sudden i saw this flash out of the corner of my eye on my tv and then out of nowhere kody started screaming.
like high pitch terror filled scream.
i quickly asked what was wrong and he told me he had seen a face in my tv. so i quickly got up and covered the tv and sat back down.
and he was fine. we started talking again to kinda ease the tension and i mentioned how weird stuff happened all the time and then a book came fucking flying off my shelf out of no wheeeere. just. my shelf was this wire kind of shelf 10 feet away and this mother fucking book landed in the middle of my floor. it didnt just fall. it was thrown.
so i got up and put it back.
and again. it was fine.
we ignored it. ignoring it seemed like it made it easier to handle. and we started talking about something else.
and then kody slowly turned his head towards my door and he asked me if i saw what he saw.
just thinking my door had closed on it own like it usually did, i quickly glanced over and it was still open. so i asked kody, “see what?”
and kody replied, “the little boy standing in your doorway.”
and i told him i didnt. that i couldnt see him and i asked him what he was doing.
and kody said that he was just watching me. like, he was just standing there watching me. and then all of a sudden he started moving forward.
and apparently the little boy had walked from my door to the middle of my floor, and then he turned to the wall that wasnt in the orignal floor plan and he walked out. just left.
i never told kody about how my room was an add on, so i got up, closed my door and just watched kody as he stared off at my wall. then he told me what the little boy looked like and like. cool. he was really pale, almost so pale kody couldnt make out his face. he was bald, he wore a baseball cap and a red flannel.
i never told anyone about it. kinda just let what kody saw sink into my head. and then i left for a few months to stay with my aunt. and i kinda forgot.
then when i got home i got told how my door liked opening and slamming on its own while my family was eating or in the living room. and i even got told how my brother had made a new friend in my house named nicholas.
eddies autistic, he talks about things like that all the time so i didnt really think much of it until he told me what the little boy looked like.
he told me that nicholas didnt have any hair and he always wore a hat like my dad. (baseball cap). and how he was reaaaaalllly white and eddie thought it was funny because it was like he was glowing. and then he told me how nicholas was wearing a red shirt like a lumberjack.
and he said that nicholas had liked me, and he would always ask him where i was.
and like. yeah. that was fun. two different people saw the same little boy in my room on different occasions and just yeah.

Newbury 'Angel'
Adam in New Hampshire called in to tell of a strange entity that he had photographed in Newbury:
“I don't know if you remember but I called back a few months ago. It was last year during the summer, during your La Lechuza show (June 6, 2017 – he didn't actually call but he did send Clyde an image that he talked about on the show - image shown below). I sent you that photo of that white thing I saw out in the woods and I sent it to you on Ground Zero. I have not figured out what it was and I've sent it to a couple of different people to get it cleared up. Basically what it was, it was moving across the field from left to right. In the middle of the day. It's an old photo from an LGNV so the photo quality isn't very good. (Lewis thinks it looks like an Angel) That's what people say, yeah. It's like an apparition or an angel. In my opinion though, it felt alien, when I looked out there. It didn't make any sound. It was barely moving. So it was inertly moving across the field. (Lewis asks where it's standing) It's just a field. It's just an open field next to a wildlife management area. So when I took the picture, I thought it was like a torso size, maybe two to three feet. Four feet maximum. But then when you started to talk about it last year (Lewis mentioned that he thought it was 7 or 8 feet tall).

It's not my personal story, my aunt told me about her story when she was a child. She was very close to her grand-mother because she look after her, her mother was sick. She wanted to be with her when she was about to die, but the adults refused. Just after the death of her grand-mother, my aunt used to see her, at the end of the day, at the same time, the hour of her death. She was further away on the path of the house and asked her to come.
Story continues: Frightened, my aunt finished to say she would not come and it stopped.
