The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger says some interesting things about parents, kids, opportunity and division. Affluent vs not-so-affluent. And some who spend money they don’t have to support a lifestyle they can’t afford. I think that opinions about this book will vary based on what season you’re in. Readers should recognize characters in people they know. As a parent I will go full Papa Bear to protect my kids (They’re both married now but I still will 🐻) But what happens when someone feels the need to bend the rules or even ignore them? Glad this book shows some consequences. Love that the epiphany happens to the character you least expect. And don’t let your kids do Genetic science fair projects if you have family secrets 😳 This is a long audiobook but worth your time.
