Jack Barakat is a mess. His girlfriend dumped him, his friends barely talk to him, and he just can't seem to pull himself together. Fresh off of tour and still moping, Jack's best friend has had enough. Jack needs to clean up his act, and Alex knows just who to call. Katie Feist is even more of a mess. She's been fired from her last three jobs and probably won't get hired again, so it comes as quite the shock when she gets the call telling her she has a new job. With everything riding on this job, she'll do almost anything if it means getting her old life back. Even if it means helping clean up someone else's mess.

Alex & Jack meet at a bar Alex works at and jack's married to holly and they're having marridal problems. Jack has 2 kids. Later on, they meet again by bumping into each other on the street. And they build up a relationship from there. Towards the end of the story Jack has to move in to Alex with his daughters because he and holly divorce. Thanks In advance!
