If there's one thing I've learned when texting my mom it's that I'm never quite sure what's happening.

my mom sent me a text that was like, "how did my baby do?"

um. never in my life has my mother called me baby. so that's awkward. it doesn't sound like a mom thing. it sounds like a guy thing. so that makes it really awkward. then another text comes in late that says "how was it baby  when pick up"
