A cozy weekend
Evening walk ✨😌✨
What's New and What's Old..
What's New : I recommitted to my health and my recovery last week.
What's Old : Feeling burdened, feeling heavy, feeling slow, feeling sore, feeling tired, feeling overwhelmed, feeling listless, feeling afraid, feeling flat.
I'm coming back to the realm of the living.
Bonus mundane details: I did my first ever Parkrun Parkwalk today. 5k with a friend. Definitely beats lying in on a beautiful Saturday morning. I had blisters from the start (yesterday's walk in weather inappropriate boots) but I powered through. Then we walked to Costa for a coffee. Then I walked home. Overall probably did 7k but who is counting!? (I'm counting, I counted the whole thing on MFP...) Also made a massive Greek Salad when I got home. Now I am relaxing on the couch. All this after taking the most brutally honest before pictures during the week. I'm feeling the fear and doing it anyway. I got this.
And you know what the funniest thing is?
I don't feel ready. I don't feel ready at all. But I'm reminded of Amy Poehler's thing about doing things *before* you're ready. It's not motivation I found, it's determination.
That beagle nose is coming in handy these days. #parkwalk #wallace #blinddogs (at Riverside Park Promenade)
