Parlour Magic presents: Paloma 🕊️
Paloma goes hard !! dark power electro !
Parlour Magic is a synthpop act from New York City, under the direction of producer and media artist Luc Bokor-Smith.
Press:
"Paloma" is the third single from Parlour Magic's upcoming second studio album, to be released this Autumn. Written by Luc Bokor-Smith, "Paloma" was co-produced with Fab Dupont, with additional production coming from Luca Chesney and Florian Stepper.
Following lead singles "Super Eight" and "Summerlin," "Paloma" brings back the signature vocal sound that defined the first Parlour Magic record, "The Fluid Neon Origami Trick," while placing it in a bold new context. The hard tuned effect on Bokor-Smith's voice compliments a pumping, distorted synth hook as well as a brilliantly slick bassline from Stepper. Paired with emotionally rich and vulnerable lyrics, the result is a song unlike any that Parlour Magic has released before.
Recorded over the span of more than two years in New York, Berlin, and Las Vegas, the new album is a dramatic step forward for Parlour Magic.

Parlour Magic presents: Summerlin
Just vibe with this song
The synthesizers give us a Miami Horror vibes. And the voice sounds very winded
"Summerlin" the new single from New York City-based synthpop act Parlour Magic, it's out now.
Written by Luc Bokor-Smith and co-produced with legendary producer Fab Dupont, "Summerlin" marks the second single from PM's as-of-yet-untitled second album, to be released Autumn 2024.
Perhaps the catchiest and poppiest Parlour Magic song to date, "Summerlin" is an up-tempo indie pop track with warm synth hooks and a soaring, sing-along chorus ("watch what you do to me, Summerlin..."). Picking up where previous single "Super Eight" (released June 2024) left off, "Summerlin" is a further evolution of the Parlour Magic sound; shimmering guitars join the trademark analog synths in the chorus, and the whole production is propelled by a driving bassline from German multi-instrumentalist Florian Stepper, who features across the forthcoming album.
The new record was recorded over the span of more than two years in New York, Las Vegas, and Berlin, and the result is an impressive step forward for Parlour Magic, with Bokor-Smith's lyrics showing an evolved sharpness and vividity, and the production, handled jointly between Bokor-Smith and Dupont across the whole album, achieves a new sense of depth and immersion into the Parlour Magic universe. The record follows PM's 2020 debut, "The Fluid Neon Origami Trick" - featuring singles "Ville Rose" and "Phantom West," and 2021's "Hydrogen Palace" EP, which featured lead single "The Source."

Parlour Magic presents: Super Eight
New York City-based synthpop act Parlour Magic returns with new single "Super Eight," to be released on June 28th 2024. The release marks the first new material from Parlour Magic, a project by producer and composer Luc Bokor-Smith, in nearly three years.
Written by Bokor-Smith and produced in tandem with legendary producer Fab Dupont, "Super Eight" serves as the lead single from Parlour Magic's upcoming second full-length album, to be released in Autumn 2024. Recorded in New York, Las Vegas, and Berlin over the course of two years, the album – title to be announced later in the year – marks a dynamic step forward for Parlour Magic.
Indeed, "Super Eight" sees Bokor-Smith diving deeper into the sonic universe he created with his 2020 debut, "The Fluid Neon Origami Trick" – dramatic, swelling synths, catchy disco-inspired baselines, and vivid lyrics that play with themes surrounding memory and time. The result is the most accomplished and inspired Parlour Magic song yet. A music video, shot on film in Berlin and New York, will premiere in July.
