An apollo butterfly (Parnassius apollo) on the Pindos mountains, Greece
by Nikola Rahmé
Okay, this little Snow Apollo butterfly (Parnassius) painting is officially done! And I'm super happy with how it turned out! 2 paintings done, 12 to go!
This piece is part of my February painting challenge, I'm doing 14 small paintings in 28 days! My list of subjects for this challenge are all Insects, and I'm using this same limited color pallette (maroon, scarlet, golden yellow, and teal) for all of them!
Black butterfly with white translucent wings 🖤`♡´🩶
Basically, males have more fur than females! +_+

Miraculous Team AU - introduction
(Here is a new and improved presentation of the AU)
Paris has been terrorized for almost a year by a cat-themed super villain named Miss Tigri. At the beginning, she attacked politicians and historical buildings, claiming she had to destroy “what was rotten” so a new era could start. However, as time passed, her attacks became more hazardous, less purposeful. People live in fear of her powers.
The Black hail, which damages everything it touches.
Her Death Claws, that can pierce through anything, sever limbs or even kill.
But worst of all: her Cataclysm.
Fortunately, two heroes are here to protect the city: Pandora and Parnassius.
Pandora, the beautiful peacock, nothing escapes her eyes. She rarely strikes first. One hit in her direction, she will retaliate before it even landed on her. Her numerous feathers find her target wherever they are and seem to absorb Miss Tigri’s powers to be used against her right after.
Parnassius, the butterfly who gives power to whoever has the will and the potential to help. The chosen one become a Tenshi, an angel, to protect Paris and try to catch the evil cat. Skilled fencer and strategist, he coordinates his team successfully to protect the civilians. You can also count on him to send a magical repairman to fix the property damages.
Miss Tigris becomes more and more unpredictable. Sometimes, it seems like she is losing the control on her powers, but then she uses new weapons or a dark magic that don’t belong to her.
One day, she suddenly attacks a secondary school, trapping most of the students and staff inside. She conjures two huge snakes to help her chasing after people. Literally playing “cat and mouse”.
And for the first time, there is not one but two Tenshis: Phoenix and Dragon. With the number of four, the team of heroes manage to overcome Miss Tigri and finally immobilize her.
The moment Pandore slips her ring off her finger, her true form is revealed. But only for a short time. Quickly, starting from her ring finger, black burns spread on her whole body and then, she turns into ashes.
Marinette comes home shocked. She was chosen as Phoenix, and had felt so happy in helping her heroes defeating this horrible woman… but she never wished for such a thing to happen. Whoever Miss Tigri had been, Marinette could not help feeling sorry for her, despite everything, and for her family above all. She gets the visit of Pandora and Parnassius in turn, who both make sure she is recovering from the shock and thank her again for her help.
Marinette finishes her second year of middle school shortly after. The summer vacation starts and she is hopeful, more confident in herself. Then, she finds a strange black box in her room, containing a pair of earrings.
Paris is recovering, happy to be free of Miss Tigri, unaware that the latter was just a pawn for something bigger.
This was only the beginning.
On August the 15th , the city hall in under attack again! The two snakes Miss Tigri had previously used are back and the people trying to flee outside are blocked by a rain of black arrows. Parnassius and Pandora appear to find and stop the attackers, and two new heroes make their entrance:
Ladybug and Chat Noir.
In the chaos, as they try to save the trapped people, a man rises suddenly with his body covered in white butterflies.
“Phoebus has fallen, now it’s time for a new Butterfly to rise! I am the Fiancé, and I am looking for my betrothed!” he claims as his transformation finishes.
The butterfly miraculous has fallen into evil hands.
From this moment, the sight of butterflies started scaring people instead of delighting them.
Pandora is now the partner and mentor of two new heroes… and she often wonders: why did they have to be teenagers?!
Special thanks to @miraculouscontent for her help!!
