have this urge to write a parrinsky time loop au, where adam is stuck in endless cycles of 4th of july for whatever reason, and he does all what he can think of, trying to break it, and fails spectacularly. and then kavinsky tags him one of these times, and asks something like. so, had you finished ruining my party, orrrr. and it turns out they both stuck here. had been, in fact, all the time. forced proximity, tension, arguments and despair of it all. do you see the vision.

It took Adam a few minutes of walking to truly realise what he was looking at. The Mitsubishis were all slightly different in make – subtle differences, highlighted by the light of the moon – but it wasn't until he stopped next to a car whose rearview mirror showed the view out of the windshield that he understood: this was the work of a dreamer.
posted this two hours after the self-inflicted deadline but the main body of text was done in time so i consider this a success. i will do another round of final edits either today or tomorrow so slight changes might happen but here you go.
