I’d say it’s highly likely hey#3 is a BH not BA song, not 100% but based off of ‘you look like a star’ reminiscent of the prom night coming down the stairs and the way Jug has always looked a betty like a light in the darkness and obviously ’hey, you came’ ‘I said that I might’ hasn’t that been the whole tension between them for two years why didn’t you come, why didn’t you reach out, didn’t think you wanted me to, she came to save me etc.
well first of all, i like the way you think. second, you know the only reason the b/as want "hey #3" is because bugheads started talking about it. there's a whole ass song called "a light in the dark" on that soundtrack and i think i only saw one or two mention it? pls. that's their whole thing they swore was theirs (well, until 5x14 🤭).
but yeah, it seems like there's been some foreshadowing for the musical (esp cooper wise). we could always go full conspiracy theory, just for fun to annoy the trolls who refresh my blog more than anyone would ever find normal:
(no, seriously, we're just having fun here, no one yell at me for this we're just passing time)
hey #1 is about how they've been apart and henry misses natalie, right? she's fallen into drugs, etc, and is a whole ass mess and even tells her she's taking what she's doing too far. he doesn't want them to be over and he wants the version of her she was before she started partying because he knows she can be like that again. he invites her to the dance but she rejects him, etc.
hey #2 is about how henry wants to get to know her again and natalie thinks it's too late and it sounds like she doesn't like the mirror he holds up in front of her. she doesn't want to deal with her bullshit. he doesn't care, he still wants to be with her.
hey#3 natalie shows up to the dance, natalie is still worried about her mom, about being crazy, henry promises to be there for her, you get the impression she's pushing him away because she doesn't want to burden anyone with what might happen later on but he thinks he's perfect for her, i'm sure everyone knows this song by now.
(also henry is really out here doing the most. get you a henry, right?)
anyways, the point is that i feel like you can definitely make threads of all three of those work for bughead this season.
so they've said "hey" twice on the show so far, right?
once in 5x08 and it's what jughead greets betty with when he calls her in 5x14. hey (ha), if you're going to go full conspiracy theory, commit to it, i say.
i feel like if you wanted to put the musical threads into their relationship, it's not all that hard to start seeing how they could pull from henry and natalie to get the bughead we've gotten this season.
but essentially, yes, i agree with you, i think it fits bughead more than any other ship (mostly based on evidence but whatever, people are going to give me invisible reblogs for this, i can feel it) because i'm biased but also because archie has never treated betty the way jughead does and the show has not been subtle lately that jughead isn't over betty and even if they go back and forth or pretend to be friends for a minute, they're always finding their way back to each other.
in other words, i'm manifesting for like 75% ship reasons and 25% to be purely petty later after all the harassment i've been through, ha.

cassian andor as a former bolshevik turned conman who lost his faith near yekaterinburg. jyn as a street-smart orphan with more than a passing resembling to a murdered grand duchess. together they decide to collect the reward for a lost princess.
if you think about it... there's no such thing as normal. normal doesn't exist. every single person on the planet is entirely different from every other person on the planet.
100% agree I was reading through the musical synopsis and I was like they could have just stole this plot for a cooper family arc honestly 😂 cause the way Alice was doing that embroidery of the twins i was like…are they dead, thats creepy Alice. But polly hallucinations for the cooper women is a must! lets go fully unhinged before we heal.
oh for sure, there were parts of 5x09 for alice that had me like 👀. i've seen the musical and i quite like it so i feel like the show hasn't been all that subtle in the way they're using it for this season. i have no idea why that one didn't occur to me earlier (i know alex sort of spilled it a bit but i don't read his stuff very often and missed that) but oh well.
and they've definitely set it up to bring in hallucinations if they wanted for the cooper women! jughead was first, then archie. betty's tbk/missing sister storyline is primed for her to hallucinate polly so i would not be shocked in the least tbh.
i definitely think they're going with people hitting their own personal rock bottoms before climbing back out of that metaphorical (and literal: jughead's sinkhole, archie's army trenches, betty's serial killer hole. no idea what veronica's would be. the chad-hole? riverdale, you are a trip) feeling of no return.
i agree, let's get fully unhinged before we get better. fiction is really the only place that's a good time to do that, hah, so let's grab our chainsaws i guess.
I think Tommy being /Abby’s/ Tommy would just be so funny and honestly just good for the TB break up because like Buck never escaping the ghost of Abby is such a funny Bit. Like did you think it was different because the older person you are now dating is a guy? don’t be silly Buck
it would be really funny but to be serious for a sec im glad they wrapped that all up at the end of season 3 like im glad we are done with the Abby of it all!! not because i disliked her but because it felt like we got all the development we could get from Buck on that front. as illustrated by one of my favorite editing choices on the show--Abby saying Buck's moved on smash cutting to Buck playing overprotective dad to Chris 😊
