What if Lucius finally gets an apology?

But not from Ed

Or Stede

But from Izzy.

We've seen that he's owning up to his actions, "we cannot let this crew continue to suffer for our mistakes"

And, though his actions are only tangentially related to what happened to Lucius, I think he could feel guilt for his part in it.

And Lucius is getting an apology. His life was fucked with through no fault of his own.

And no one (not even his would be murderer) has tried to offer amends. Or even acknowledge that none of what happened to Lucius was his fault.

But to have Izzy, who last Lucius saw was mean and judgemental and just rude, look at him and say, "You didn't deserve that"

/frosAwakening!Anders......... things: Part 1... of... ???

( Just throwing down some thoughts I had while I was playing Awakening a short while back. I kept my self-indulgent ramblings under wraps because.... so much. I didn’t mention Justice, Kristoff or the Blackmarsh because... it was already too long and he honestly needs a whole thing of his own ).

-  Anders’ introduction is one of the better ones. There is a story here. He managed to get out of the cells behind him and is caught in the incriminating tableau of an aftermath of a battle of which he is the sole survivor. He knows how it looks. Templars are dead, of course people will blame the apostate.  He then does everything he can to make himself as harmless and non threatening as possible. He’s at the Warden’s mercy and he wants to get on their good side ( or at least not on their bad side ). He is just so used to other people holding all the keys to his freedom and being powerless to do anything about it that he will probably agree to almost anything if it means he isn’t locked up again. Weakness or self preservation or an acute self awareness and presence of mind? Perhaps all of these. He is resourceful, he is cunning, he is opportunistic, he will escape the first chance he gets anyway no mater what happens but... survival comes first. ( This is in direct contrast to when you meet him in DA II six months later where he is exhausted and possessed and immediately gets on the defensive. Don’t just burst into his sanctum of healing and salvation to cause shit. ) - His initial skill set is... something. Clearly a healer by nature so he has the Spirit Healer specification and spells in Creation ( heal and heroic offence ) and it looks like he is dabbling in its counterpart: Entropy. He has Weakness and Paralysis under the Weakness tree ( he doesn’t want to hurt you, just incapacitate you for a time while he gets away ) and  Drain Life under the tree of the same name which is the literal opposite of healing.  HIs Primal spells are focused on ice / frost but he uses Flame Blast when attacking the Darkspawn ( reflexive perhaps ) His Spirit spells seem to avoid anything involving mana drain and anti magic and he us dabbling in Death spells ( Walking Bomb which is highly annoying!! ) and Telekinesis is always fun. - Templars took his stave ( which amplify and focus magic ) so he is casting without so....burnt hands.  - You have the option to make him a blood mage. AhaHAahHa! No. .

- He comes back to help no matter how the Warden-Commander treats him and he will stay to help even if the Warden continues to be belligerent with him. He has no obligation to stay and it is in his own best interest to flee immediately BUT he just can’t bring himself to turn his back on those innocent, defenseless people who are in trouble even if it puts him at risk of getting caught again.  He is not without a conscience and an irrepressible urge to help people, though he will convincingly deny it. The only way to get rid of him is to specifically hand him over to the Templars and you have two chances to do that.... otherwise you’re stuck with him. He’s now your Friendly Neighborhood Healer. For the time being that is.

- “ Well, all right, but if I wake up two weeks from now on a ship bound for Rivain in nothing but my small clothes and a tattoo on my forehead, I’m blaming you. “ Not Anders making a joke about being branded sold into slavery the second he is unconscious and vulnerable. Trust just isn’t his thing. Always expecting the worst from people. - I love the confidence he has in his own abilities. You can say whatever you want about him, don’t doubt his magic. It is something he is incredibly proud of. He doesn’t hide it and is fully aware how talented he is. He knows he’s good, you can thank him later. Not even being locked up, beaten and dehumanized can take that from him. He loves being a mage and certainly wont apologize for it. - Did Anders steal a Magister’s staff and robes? And possibly some other accessories too? Or is this how he normally dresses? Then there is the Fox’s Pendant which a Bann gave him for “ service and friendship ” when he was 12 years old. What happened? I have questions. - Speaking of gifts, Ser Pounce-a-lot is no ordinary kitty. He heals you and mysteriously survives a Genlock trying to tear him in half. No. Ordinary. Cat. ( I know this is a game mechanic and / or for humor and sentiment but let me have this. ) Ser Pounce is also not a name thought up at the spur of the moment either. It has been something that has been with him for a long time. As a young apprentice he drew in the margins of his notes. Some were left folded at the back of a book on Spirit Healing depicting a tiger called Ser Pounce-a-Lot eating Templars. Then there is this journal entry of his, describing his Harrowing and a large cat like demon ready to pounce. Watch as I read too much into all of this. At any rate, the kitty also apparently draws the ladies, according to Oghren. He isn’t wrong. They eventually make him get rid of his cat which is devastating for him. He really loves that damn cat...

- Anders’ Spicy Shimmy. That’s all.  - There is a lot of ambiguity surrounding the nature of his relationship with Namaya. I get the impression that she was more than just a weighted pause “ Friend “ and it did NOT end well. There is a story here. They met during one of his previous escape attempts. He sweet talked her, she fell for it and he made her promises he couldn’t keep. Yet, she still sticks her neck out for him one last time even though she is so done with him and mages in general at this point. Perhaps she knew that the Phylacteries had already been moved from Amaranthine and it was nothing more than a trap. Who knows? I like to think she was genuinely trying to help Anders and harbors a lingering ( resentful ) fondness for him. - He tries, on more than one occasion, to connect with the other companions; he points out  things they might have in common, asks questions, tries to joke with them. Naturally, this is not well received ( because he has the subtlety of a cat on a shelf gently knocking off ornaments ), but he doesn’t get defensive, he simply dials up the sarcasm and cheerfully moves on. No loss. He is friendly but also rather aloof and his perpetual evasiveness make it almost impossible to get a straight answer from him. It’s an infuriating and impenetrable barrier. His philosophy at this point: Travel light; don’t get too attached to anyone. Any relationship generally lasts until he is too much of a problem to have around. Even the friendliest face can easily turn around and hand him over to the Templars because, more often than not, sticking up for an apostate is more trouble than it’s worth. THIS sadly is his general experience with people and yet he still honestly CRAVES companionship and closeness which is why he tries in the first place.... while having an eye on all the exits. - He says he was a good little Andrastian once. Maybe there were times in the Circle where he would bow his head and say his prayers and hope Andraste would look kindly on him, curb his rebellious nature and help him accept his place... but he knew he would never be able to submit and eventually he stopped trying altogether. I bet the point of no return was when Karl was taken away. - He has just recently come out of an entire year in solitary confinement. He was locked up in a tiny dark and filthy cell, starved, beaten and utterly alone for what would have felt like an immeasurable amount of time of sustained torture. Utterly inhumane and I don’t need to go into the emotional, physical and psychological effects of this. He smiles but the trauma is still there with him. He wants to talk about it but when he does he immediately brings up Mr Wiggums, the only good thing he found in the whole experience, because that is not so painful to think about. Maybe the cat kept him sane. ( until it apparently got possessed by a rage demon, killing three Templar — there is no record of this event so it too could have been fabricated ) - No wonder he tries and spectacularly fails not to freak out just a little when you take him to Kal’Hirol.  - Any time he brings up the Circle and Templars you get a glimpse of his resentment and anger. Again, he both wants to acknowledge it but also... does not. It’s all just under the surface but it is also too painful to deal with directly. So he turns it into something he can deal with — a bitter joke, a funny anecdote — because he will rather tell you about a Templar woman ( Ser Rylock actually ) they would always send to find him ( and how the air sizzled between them and made his recaptures more fun ) instead of exactly how they treated him each time he was caught and dragged back to the Circle ( as long as he is brought back alive right? his condition was merely a technicality ). Of course it didn't happen the way he described . He clearly messing with Valenna as if to say “ What do you care anyway? ” and deflecting from the terribly inhumane way they treated him each time.  So, yes, he was angry and resentful but he is not even the slightest bit interested in rising up against the Circles, or freeing other mages. He is in survival mode and in no frame of mind to begin an uprising against the monster that is the Chantry and their Circles. ( More on this when I post another ridiculous word wall on Justice at some point maybe ). - For the most part, Anders is a cheerful, optimistic and good-natured ( though at times infuriating and self-centered ) healer who would love nothing more than to head off to the nearest tavern for way too many pints and find someone to snuggle and get cozy with instead of spending any time dwelling on unpleasant topics for any length of time. And I adore him for it.

Elrohir is ACE aka Asexual BUT he is also somewhere between Aromantic and Demiromantic.

He has zero interest in romance. That may change; it may not. Elrohir makes that decision and I follow my muse. However for the moment, he feels sick when it comes to anything involving himself and romance.

Elanor Lavellan

When I first heard the premise of Inquisition (at least the Mage Templar War part) I wanted most of all to make my protagonist a healer who didn’t want anything to do with politics, didn’t care who was on what side, just wanted to heal everyone they could. Then we weren’t able to heal anybody. I get what they were doing there, but I couldn’t apply my preplanned character and it took me a while to come up with a new one. My first playthrough, therefore, I tried to go in as blind as possible, just making the choices that seemed best. As time went on though the premise behind Elanor slowly took root and recently surfaced when I wanted to start a fresh game without too much metagaming (and yes, the name is a LOTR reference. I didn’t want to spend an hour or more agonizing over a name).

She is a Dalish First. Between her studies and natural solitary leanings as a child she only ever was close to her Keeper. As a child she looked into the history of the Dales, learning that they were land promised by Andraste to Shartan…and that this promise was actually honored by her heirs when people rarely deal honorably with her people. So she researched to the best of her ability, and came to the conclusion that the Dalish should at least respect Andraste as an honorable ally, even if her successors didn’t live up to her example (she also decided that maintaining open communication and alliances might have made them a more difficult target, but given that the ‘Exalted March’ was a pretty thin cover for Orlesian expansionism that then swallowed Ferelden she wouldn’t count on it being enough precisely).

As she learned and grew however, she came to find more hope in Andraste’s Maker than in her own peoples’ Creators. The Maker did not demand greatness but humility, not power but repentance. She maintains that the Creators existed, but suspects that they were perhaps spirits or something instead of actual gods. Her new faith puts her at odds with her clan and they’re leery of having a nonbelieving Keeper. Promising that she will teach all their lore and legends just as they were taught to her does little to ease that tension given how easily promises can be broken. This mission, therefore, was in part to help her decide whether she was going to be able to remain true to her clan or if it would be better for her to seek her path elsewhere.

When the Breach is formed she is reluctant to believe in any of it, she doubts she would be the messenger Andraste would choose, but she also kind of wants it to be true because that would be proof of heaven’s love. She’s hesitant about the Chantry, believing they’ve allowed themselves to be infected with politics, but she wants to believe that – even if she’s not some appointed ambassador – the Maker is watching and pushing the people who will be best for something into position to act (ensuring the Warden’s survival, placing Hawke in Kirkwall, etc), thus implying that she will be useful enough not to let them down.

She comes to see herself as a pseudo-Keeper for everyone who trusts and follows her, feeling personally responsible for their wellbeing. This would be stressful enough for the Inner Circle, but when she becomes Inquisitor she’s trying to stretch her wings over thousands of people. Very quickly, those she trusts find their primary concern shifting from whether she can deal with Corypheus to whether she’s getting any sleep or if she’s gotten so focused on something that food became irrelevant.

Cassandra initially came on almost all missions because she was essentially acting as a parole officer, but after the Herald proved herself that role voicelessly shifted more to bodyguard and confidant. As such, she is often the first to notice and head off problems, and the Inquisitor is so used to Cassandra always being right there that it feels normal, so she doesn’t ask for an explanation (she also suspects that Cassandra just likes being able to get in the field and do things rather than bother with bureaucrats, but as long as the Seeker doesn’t say anything they don’t have to change it and Elanor doesn’t want to deprive her friend of what few liberties she gets the chance to indulge in).

So she’s a Dalish Keeper-in-training who is Andrastian, hesitant about the Chantry due to politics, avid and independent scholar, and generally the kind of person who likes to know the fine print before they even consider the paperwork. Thus the exuberance with which she met her first difficult fight shocked her, but it’s as heady a thing to throw herself into a difficult situation that’s going to take all her skill as it is to discover a new constellation or invent an improvement for her clan, and once the stunning thought of ‘I can actually do this’ fades she finds herself thriving as Inquisitor. When her confidence grows she offers the Inquisition and Skyhold as a refuge to any people who are willing to live peacefully with the others, and makes sure the word reaches the nearest Arlathven. The demands of the work pushing her, the knowledge that everything she does is helping someone somehow, and the reports of improvements and accomplishments flooding in from all corners, culminate into a tsunami that sweeps Corypheus away as effectively as a High Dragon swatting a common nug.

Tale of the Yokai - the demise of the Hamato family

So I had a thought.

At the end of Tale of the Yokai, Splinter is only crying for Tang Shen. Despite what Renet said, I don’t think the turtles were supposed to be in the past - there are differences between what we’ve originally seen/been told by Splinter in earlier episodes, and then what happened in this one. 

They were changing the past - and the proof is found in the disappearing selfie picture that they had with them. If they were meant to be there, then that picture would never have been in danger of being erased in the first place.

Originally, Oroku Saki attacked Splinter and Tang Shen while they were asleep at home - 

- whether that is the Hamato Dojo or the apartment building that Tang Shen was shown in, I can’t personally say - it’s possible they were originally spending the night at the Dojo in order to be close to Splinter’s father, whose health was failing quite rapidly. But regardless, baby Miwa/Karai was there in the building as well. Oroku Saki attacks and Hamato Yoshi defends his family against him until Tang Shen takes a hit that was meant for him and is killed. During the fight, the house catches fire and Saki leaves them all to perish, while somehow managing to take Miwa without Yoshi’s knowledge.

- probably with the intent of going back for his daughter but was unable to as the fire completely took over the building. 

In Tale of the Yokai, Oroku Saki did not sneak attack them in the dead of night - he came to see if Tang Shen had accepted his earlier offer to leave with him, after he had supposedly saved her from Yokai - he is enraged when she still chooses her husband. Hamato Yoshi then tells Tang Shen to go, and she does, taking baby Miwa with her and then later returnswhen she sees the building on fire. There are similarities as she still gets in the way of a hit meant for Splinter, and Oroku Saki still leaves them to die, after they are buried beneath falling beams - but the boys come in and they save Splinter this time around, but leave Tang Shen where she had died in the building.

Splinter comes to with no idea of how he got outside, screaming for Tang Shen - but for not Miwa.

In this reality, he had told Tang Shen to go and take Miwa away from the fight and then she had come back for Yoshi alone. He didn’t think that his daughter was still in the building in this one - after the Turtles left him, he probably comes to the realization that his daughter is still outside where Tang Shen left her and he desperately starts to search for her. He searches for hours, with only the light of his burning home to see, before the horrifying thought enters his head... that maybe, she had been in the building too.

It’s only after he’s searched every place she could possibly be, the apartment, nearby homes and the surrounding woods, does he come to the conclusion that he didn’t just lose Tang Shen or his brother that night. But he also lost his father and his only daughter. And that he is completely and utterly alone.
